Title: New binder!
Post by: Darrin Scott on October 16, 2010, 03:48:09 PM
I got my new 988 binder from underworks and I think it's too small. I got a M because when I got measured (I went to a store to have this done rather than me do it myself. I don't trust my own measurements  ;)) I was in the range of a M, but now that I'm wearing it, I have a little trouble breathing. So...I'm going to exchange it for a L. Is their exchange policy good? Can I just send it back for a size bigger?

Could it really be too small or does it just need to be stretched? I wore it for a few hours and felt no pain. Just a little hard to breathe. Is that normal? Is the M that big of a difference to the L?

sounds like it might be normal. i have tried an M and it was too big, so i tried an S and it felt too small, but i stuck with it and its now stretched and i can wear it without any problems.

binders aren't exactly comfortable, you will notice that it is harder to breathe than without. But if you do want to exchange it just send it back with a note saying which size and style you would like instead. They won't charge you any extra if you want the same style.

Today went better with it. I got it on a lot quicker (and no screaming or cursing  ;)) and I felt better too. I'm sure I'll just have to get used to it. Did anyone else have issues with bumps on the boobs from the binder?

are you wearing a layer underneath your binder? I always wear a beater underneath.

I had issues with some bumps but I think mine was an allergic reaction. I washed it a few times and had no problems afterward. Maybe that could be it?

Yeah I do. I had to readjust the binder this morning as my boobs were sticking out underneath the bind and I saw the bumps. I took it off just now and I didn't see any. I'm having issues with being able to keep all of my boob in the actual binder part. They seem to fall out of the actual binder and into the rest of the shirt. Are they too big for the binder?

This can be an issue if you're a big guy using one of the binders with a limited binding area. You could try wearing a sports bra underneath to hold them up so the binder can bind them.

It's my third day with my binder and I can breathe comfortably and I honestly think it's more comfortable than a bra and I feel more confident with a flatter chest.  :)
