'If I can accept her, no one can criticise her'

She said: "I'm her mother. If I can be open and accept (it) as I watched my petite daughter morph into a giant, no one has the right to criticise her."
Except for Miss Lye's love for sports - she was a hockey player, a sprinter and has a black belt in taekwando - Madam Khoo said "she was just like any other girl when she was growing up".
"She had long hair and wore dresses," said Madam Khoo.
"All parents want the best for their kids and I'm no different. But why force our expectations on them if it only makes them unhappy?
