Title: Mini Exchange Handouts
Post by: Crow on October 24, 2010, 11:14:40 AM
We're still missing arts for Silver and Fenrir. The artists drawing for them ran into some technical difficulties and have been keeping in contact with me pretty well throughout the process, so I'll give them a little more time. However, if we don't have something for them before next weekend, I'll call in substitutes. Until then, here's what we do have:

These are very nice illustrations. I am not sure what the post means though. Seems I am coming in the middle of an ongoing discussion. Good luck with the artwork.

Oops, I forgot to explain things in the first post! My brain is only half present, today.

These are the results of an art exchange (https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,83607.0.html), kind of like a Secret Santa type thing, but with art. 83

By Silver (as if it's a secret lol.)

Midway through my tablet started working again so I ended up doing it digitally and colored it. Forgot the wings, once I realized that though it was too late.

Edit: By the way zucchini and eggplant are fruit.

Your link didn't work. =/  You've got one too man "http://" in it.   But it looks neat! (I had to copy and paste.)

Ah weird. If I do the normal url="url.com" it will auto-edit in an extra http:// before the quotes against my will. Thanks for pointing that out.

Oh and thanks.

It's a cucumber, which is a fruit, I know that, and an eggplant which is a fruit, technically a "berry", I know that too.

It's on purpose.

Eeeee, thank yooooou! <3

(Don't worry about the wings-- they get left off rather frequently. Even I periodically leave them off when they interfere with the picture I'm drawing. No big deal!)

Duh, I didn't get it lol.

I've been "corrected" on it a number of times on this.
Even by people far more intelligent than.. well.. most of us over here, me included.

It's fun to tell them I did it on purpose, and then watch the realization of the obvious wash over 'em.
They make me feel stupid all the time, just by casual conversation, cause I'm so aware of how much more intelligent they are.
Is awesome to be able to make them feel a little slow for a change.

Hope you like it, even if I'm pretty sure it's nowhere near what you had in mind. The thing just wouldn't let me draw anything else.
(My head does that sometimes... creates an image from the words I read and then completely refuses to let me draw anything else!)

I like it XD. Thanks Fenrir, for perservering in the face of technological adversity (and not using the pirate costume lol.)

Edit: That is an awesome Soul Edge.

That would be rather cool but wouldn't it cost a fortune to mail to England? I really have no idea o_o

Glad you like it, Silver! I think I got the costume a bit wrong anyways because I used some reference picture for it that didn't come up in Google Images later on when I'd already inked it... but yeah, the sword is cool, it was so fun to draw! :P And I now know vague stuff about Soul Calibur, which should come in useful when talking to some of my gamer friends. Did you get the joke (about Yun-Seong's SC3 ending)?
And thank you for being so patient in the face of my general incompetence with time and the distinctly unhelpful technological adversity that came with it.  ;D
So now, by process of elimination... Alun has mine? I hear there is even worse technological adversity there...

Nah, it'd cost about a buck.  XD  It's only the size of a small envelope (I have a small sketch book XD).  >> My parents live in England, I've had to research how much it would cost.

Yes, I did get it lol. You didn't take all that long so I'm not bothered. The new Soul Edge doesn't have that awesome eye and flesh deal so it's less cool.

Aw, that really was an awesome design, I can't believe they'd get rid of that!  ??? Oh well, the obscure mindsets of game designers are not to be understood by us common folk. :P
