Title: RITALIN AND HRT

I've been off of my ADD medication RITALIN for almost 4 months. I seem to be going back to my old ways of forgetting things, not absorbing what people are telling me and overall retention. I am thinking of getting back on Ritalin.
I spoke to my doc about this and she said she didn't see any problems with this.
I was wondering if any of you girls on HRT have had issues with this combo.
Thanks!
Stephie

I heard from someone that stimulants stunt growth and may affect breast development, but I have no idea where she first heard this. Might be true, might not.

You may experience a slower onset of physical changes, and perhaps a bit more energy loss (lethargy), but you should not experience very serious effects of Ritalin with HRT.
I've no experience but that's what I gather from research.

Thanks for your input. I'd rather NOT get on Ritalin but I went from a C and D student to being on the Deans Honor List. I graduated with honors. However, I've been off of it prepping for my HRT (now into it for a month or so). I know that stimulants can hinder certain things. I'm still not sure about the combo. My Doc is a Tgirl (ain't that cool), and she said she didn't see anything wrong with it. Still, since I am a late bloomer in the Tgame I want to make sure that I have as many cards on my side as I can get. I may only take it "when needed". I think also changing my diet may help me out too. We'll see.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I take 20mg of dexamphetamine a day (which is similar to Ritalin) along with my HRT for ADHD and have no adverse side effects. My endo also said there are no complications between the two.
My testosterone was tested at 0.6 and my estrogen was way above where it should be.

Now I know this is unconventional, and this may not work, but take a look at the amount of vitamins you get. Building a proper diet is essential; however, you should be looking to make up for any deficiencies you've had in the past. Thinking about what vitamins can affect ADD...Thiamine (B1), Niacin (B3), B6, B12, and Magnesium are some of the obvious ones I can think of. Consider supplements of the B vitamins and make sure you get magnesium from food. This may take a few months to help and you may really not notice huge effects but hey, vitamins never hurt anyone! (except overdosing on A and D.. >_> )

@JAS Good to know! I think what you take if probably closer to Adderall, but I think in the long run it's close enough.
@Aiden I will try your method too!
As I said I can probably take it "as needed" when I need to really concentrate on things. As it is, I seem to be all over the place lately. It hasn't affected my job yet, but I'm afraid to wait til something goes a little wrong for me to do something about it.
Again, a big hug to you for posting your thoughts on here!
