Title: Nipples and Exercising OUCH!
Post by: Stephanie.Izann on November 08, 2010, 02:14:49 PM
Okay, so I just started back at the gym.  Lately, I've been noticing my nipps are starting to feel like tiny pins are poking at me. At first, it was more of an itchy kinda feeling. Now, they are usually erect, and I get these little jolts of something on and around them.
But, now that I am hitting the gym, the weight of my man-chest is making my woman-nips hurt a little more than usual.

So my question is (as if it didn't take long enough)...

I'm still looking quite manly. How do I deal with my nips hurting with the bounce of my chest?  Do I bind them?
I think at this point, I'd look a little ridiculous with a sports bra on.
Suggestions anyone?
Not going to the gym isn't an option  ;)

Try one of those beaters. You know, the sleeveless "muscle shirts" some guys wear. If you can find a tight one and keep it tucked in your pants (you can wear a shirt over it), it MIGHT help....

Any kind of tight undershirt should work. Underarmour has some compression T's that are quite comfy (and won't hurt developing tissue like a true binder would).

Some young girls at this stage of development start wearing training bras or sports bras, but most just sort of deal with the discomfort until there's actual breast development.

never thought of it...

Actually I also like to go to the gym... and stopping is not an option.

I want to keep toned, and will do some chest workouts... nothing muscular... but low weight, high reps...

The pain is because of the touch of your gym shirt? or due to the workout itself? I understand is because of the fabric of the shirt touching the sensitive area...

A loose fitting t-shirt is usually what I work out in. And be mindful of the nipple area.

So I took your advice guys!  Tight shirt (Soft cotton) and then loose shirt over it works! THANKS!

Welcome to your journey of painful boobs. Coming up on 9 months HRT, and mine -still- hurt. But that just means they're growing, yay!

I found using a sports bra helps a lot. Even in the early development (2-3months in). Even though you are still early, it might not hurt to try out a sports bra. You might find it helps anyway. Just a suggestion.

Now I'm a full 36b. The pain comes more from the bouncing, more than anything, so a sports bra is a must.

Yes it is the bouncing that does it!  Then I have my guy friends that do the ol' pinch your nipple when you aren't looking bit!  I had to tell them NOT to. Most of them know about me, but there are only 1 or 2 that don't.
Also, I seem to be growing my right one faster than my left. Right side is about the size of a quarter and left is about the size of a nickel.

My left breast is bigger than my right by a good half cup size. My right areola is bigger than my left by a good cm or so... Bodies aren't symmetrical all the time.

Hi Everyone,
I have been on Estrogen twice daily now for about a month. Nipples have enlarged, aerola doubled in size and have a nice set of painful breast buds going on and I am loving every second of it. My mood has changed, I am a tolerable person. I feel wonderful, my daughter said I have become calm. I love every moment of my life.

Yep, it's getting worse on the pain level...LOL.  But, it's also an indicator that I'm getting there. Bra's are a good thing so I wear them whenever I can...or get away with.
My nipples haven't really grown that much but I've turned some pretty curves around my thigh, butt, and waist area thanks to the Femones.

I'm hoping to see more growth since the Doc up'ed my T blocker.
