Title: Estrogen and Progesterone injections...

I recently stopped taking my Spiro since I was having some rather severe cramping and twisting of my lower legs and ankles. I tried drinking more water, stretching, cut my potassium intake back, drank pickle juice, etc.......My question is:
On my current regimen of DelEstrogen and Progesterone injections, can I still proceed with my transition, or do I really need a T blocker? I know that Progesterone is a type of T blocker, but is it enough? It seems that most of the T blockers I've researched have some rather extreme side effects.

Hi Juliemac!
My doctor prescribed it. I don't have any probs with injections. I just wanted to get the solution that is the less stressfull on my liver and kidneys, without having to remember to take an oral regimen every day.

Ok. Injectables are usually sub-cutaneous and oil based. It leaches into the blood system slowly.
I was on E &P for 20 years (yeah I know...). The iny tablets were no problem. I sit at a desk every morning to read the net and drink coffee.
Vitamin, E and P were breakfast. Some days I did forget or just couldnt afford them.
The idea is to build up a level in your system and maintain that. Pills were easier for me.
Filling too :)

when I started my HRT I had just the same pain in lower legs but it wasn't cramping or real severe. Talk to your doctor about it!!!!!!!!!!!! My pain subsided after about 5-6 months.
