i was talking to a girl who is going to suporn early next year, and our conversation drifted to her lugguage bag. so here is the question: what do you pop into your bag when going on this life-changing trip?
things that come to my mind first:
* spare blankets - prevent bleeding into hotel blankets
* baby pillow - remedy for back pain when lying for long periods
* power socket converter
* trusty laptop
* slippers
* loose pants/skirt - for after surgery
...contributors????

With baggage allowances on airlines getting ever meaner weight wise some less than 20kgs MilkT....
(Tis best to buy essentials when you're there)
But key stuff the clinic should provide you, like disposable knickers (panties).... pain-killer meds and antibiotics....
Also a Perry Bottle.... and first few days' panty pads/liners....
And as long as you have an easy reach pharmacy nearby your hotel should fare just fine....for the rest.
Plus take any supplements that might help you heal better like Biotin Arnica Montana etc.....
This is also a good site for tips post surgery...

Good luck with it all...

For the Suporn Experience:
Quote from: milktea on November 15, 2010, 10:53:13 AMAll the leakage goes down (gravity y'know) and they put a rubber sheet + surgical drape under your bum to absorb any fluid.
* spare blankets - prevent bleeding into hotel blankets
Quote* baby pillow - remedy for back pain when lying for long periodsYou'll need to turn from side to side to prevent bed sores, so while a pillow is handy, it isn't essential.
Quote* power socket converterIf you have rented your hotel room for 30 days, you can borrow one from them.
Quote* trusty laptopYES A THOUSAND TIMES YES
Quote* slippersThese are provided with your pre-surgery 'little bag'
Quote* loose pants/skirt - for after surgeryUnless you're from a very warm climate, stick to light, breezy skirts/dresses.
