The first time we saw a picture of model Andrej Pejic, we thought we were looking at a pouty, fresh-faced young woman. Turns out, Pejic is a teenage boy — and an absurdly beautiful one at that.
The 18-year-old Australian has been making waves all over the world since he was signed this February. It's all because of his feminine features, which directly oppose the burly, reliable, real-guy type of model popularized by the global recession. Still, even photographers who normally work with muscle bound pretty boys have found lots to appreciate about Pejic.
"The photographers seemed to like my look," he says. "They talked about the extreme androgyny and commented a lot on how thin I am."
