Title: FtM struggle to transition.
Post by: lilacwoman on November 21, 2010, 05:24:10 AM
Susan's is a real eye-opener about how difficult life is for the FtM!
None of the well known authors of TS books seems to have much to say about FtMs.
I'm quite sure that if you stopped a person in the street and asked them to describe 'a transsexual' they would describe the typical male to female version and probably look blank when asked waht about FtMs.
So which of you FtMs is going to write the book/magazine articles/go on chatshows and let the world know that you exist?

Well done but Iceland is a bit out of favour with us UK folk due to a few hundred million pounds of bad investments. :D

Yeah well.. the people that robbed you guys robbed us too, so making us have to pay you for what got stolen from you just means we're getting robbed double.. :/ So Icelanders are a little upset with you guys over that in general.

Newspaper article's here; http://www.dv.is/brennidepill/2010/11/17/eg-var-ofriskur-karlmadur/ (http://www.dv.is/brennidepill/2010/11/17/eg-var-ofriskur-karlmadur/)

I didn't pick the headline...
I'd suggest running the comments at the bottom through google translate.. it's a surprising pattern.

There are a lot of people who write about FTMs.  Matt Kailey, Jamison Green, Trystan Cotten, David Weekley, Max Wolf Valerio etc.  That's only to name a few more well known people.

I'm currently participating in NaNoWriMo, and the story I'm working on is a pretty classic-style sci-fi novel with a female protagonist.  She's very sympathetic, a little goofy, and as it turns out several chapters in, she was/is MtF.  It's thrown at her to ruin her credibility, and she has to confront her fears since she has been living in stealth for several years.

(Yeah, I know, but it's really better than it sounds, trust me! ;)

*hugs*

*edited, changed to MtF due to brain issues at the original time of writing!

If he's FTM, why are you referring to him with female pronouns? Or is he living as a girl now and decided he wasn't transgender?  ???

No, simply mistyped... Sorry for the confusion and thanks for pointing it out!
