What gender are you? It's probably not something you've ever spent much time thinking about. You know you're female or male, and so does everyone else. That's all there is to it, right? Transgendered and transsexual folks have spent a lot of time thinking about their own gender, and everyone else's. But what if there are more than just two genders? Social theorists tell us that gender is socially constructed. It's related to sex, but it's not the same. Is it possible to be no gender at all? Could you be more than one at once? Gender activist Kate Bornstein joins us in the studio to talk about gender outlaws.
