Title: Has Anyone Sold Their College Textbooks Online?
Post by: xAndrewx on December 04, 2010, 04:20:21 PM
I know mine are worth a decent amount because my classes are short so I got them all within the last year. Now they are just collecting dust.  I just keep reading reviews & can't find a non scam site. Anyone have a site they use and recommend?

Have you looked at chegg.com?

Thanks for the suggestion JS but I checked with them and their only interested in 2 out of 8 textbooks. Chegg.com suggested that I donate them but that's about it :(

Amazon will take them back.  I've used these guys to get textbooks: http://www.textbooks.com/ (http://www.textbooks.com/).

I don't sell my books online, though.  I just sell them back to Barnes and Noble because it's quicker.

You could try to find a second hand bookstore nearby. In my country we have one chain that buys used collegebooks.

Thanks for the suggestions guys

Gabriel: man thanks for listing that. Most of my books aren't worth more than $5 on there but on of them is worth $40 so as soon as I'm done with that class I'll use them to sell that book

Octavanius: That's a good idea, didn't even think of that. I'll have to call around tomorrow thanks man

BigWords.com ? That's where I sold basically all of my textbooks, as well as all of my girlfriends textbooks. There are of course certain things they can't take like write-in workbooks, but generally they'll buy it all. We got a decent amount back.

Note that this is alos a great site to basically find the cheapest textbooks out there. No scam whatsoever. My girlfriend and I use this site all the time. It's fantastic!

Hope I helped.

Lordkat: Thanks for suggesting :) I think I'd have to sell them individually which would be a royal pain

Wolfman Thanks man :) That helped alot actually! I was looking for a site where someone had sold them back themselves so that I could know it wasn't a scam so that works. I will definitely check them out
