Title: Your Smell
Post by: K8 on December 04, 2010, 07:28:33 PM
I was married to two different women, but I never noticed that they had a particular smell.  Now that I have my own vagina, I am very aware of my smell.  I don't think others can smell it, but there are times when I can.

Today for lunch I ordered a dish whose main component was shrimp grilled in garlic butter.  When they brought it to me I thought: Gee, that smells like me.  Then I wondered if that is a good thing.

Do you have a particular smell now?

- Kate

At 31 months HRT, I definitely smell like my Ex.  I think it is from the Estrogen.

A strong smell may be an indicator of an infection. If you are concerned about it (more than a conversation topic)  maybe talk to your doctor.  (This being said with only a considerate manner intended)

Hugs.

As someone who still has the ugly bit, I smell that a lot. But others, whom I can ask, assure me that they can't.

I really beileve that we make ourselves consciously aware of things like this, when we feel self conscious about it.

It's easy for me to say this kate, but in your position, I would be quite happy and reasured to smell what you do.

You look lovely kate. The scent of a woman is one of life's mysteries.

Whatever causes it I sure wouldn't stand next to fat hungry people.

Just had a chat with a nurse who has specific training in hygine issues.

She says that, once more serious possibilities have been ruled out, the cause of most of these problems is excessive washing, inappropriate underwear, especially too tight, loose cotton is apparently recommended and excessive treatments, creams, sprays and such.

It seems this area cultivates its own colonies of yeasts which should normally be kept in balance. When one gets out of hand, some problems start. Another problem, apparently, is that, since we tend to wear underwear, yeasts and such, coming out of our bowel, which is perfectly normal, can be held in there.

Normal social washing should be sufficient. mild hand soap. Loose cotton underwear and if possible, going without sometimes.

roses, I always smell like roses, fresh, clean, never oderous, not even to me. I carefully select the things I use, lotions, perfumes, soaps etc that please me.
See I am a woman, I was a transgendered woman until I corrected that condition with the most wonderful Dr. Chet
in Bangkok a wonderfully skilled surgeon.  I no longer carry my medical condition in my name. I am just the woman I have always been and physically now I can look at me and be peaceful. No one needs to know what medical condition I had. Only when absolutley necessary and in specific conditions of confidentiality.
