Hi
my name is Denise and I am a (smile) mature person. I am post-op and do workshops to educate non-transgendered people regarding our issues.
You can learn more about me at my site, www3.ns.sympatico.ca/winpapernews.
I work under the Name Maritime Transgender Workplace Solutions project and MICE describes my activities.
M = Motivational Activities
I = Information gathering and distribution
C = Clarification of data and available services
E = Education of All and Any area of the public to increase awareness in
the workplace
I am interested in particular in anything Canadian. Groups, activities and of course people. If you know of people wanting or offering help in the Maritimes or know of links that I may not have feel free to email me "Please".
This year we lost one TS that I am aware of through suicide and I myself was accosted without physical harm only days ago while entering a local restaurant. After years of not wishing to speak or see me, my brother is now talking and emailing me. my oldest son left me and has been absent for almost 6 years. We do know through a friend that he was healthy and his general location six months ago.
On the good side I have attained some great friends to replace the 99% I lost in transition and my spouse of 35 years and I are still together. My daughters fully support me and I completed college at over fifty years of age with a 87.76 average.
With all this in mind I and my family wish you all a peaceful season.
Regards
Denise

Hi Denise, Welcome to Susan's!
I'm pleased that you found us. I'm sure that your added POV will make our site richer and more rewarding for all. Please check out our TOS if you haven't already, as well as our extensive TG Wiki and our links pages.
If by "mature" you mean over the age of 50 then I'm mature too. I "woke up" a year and a half ago and I started HRT almost 4 months ago. I live in the US and can't help you in what you're primarily interested in but I'm still very happy to say,
WELCOME ! ! :)

Hello Denise.
Let me welcome you to Susan's. I hope that you will find our site useful in your endeavors. We boast a world wide membership so in that area we are truly unique. We have several Canadian members including myself and we attempt to provide everyone with sound advice and support. It would probably be useful to both Susan's and yourself to include links to your web site in our Links Section that can be found on the main page which is accessed through the menu at the top of each page.
Again welcome to Susan's, and I look forward to your participation.

I am also new here and very shaky. I have read many of the posts, but this is my first venture writing. I am a CD and have been off and on since my teen years. My wife doesn't approve and I don't want to lose her. I don't want to lose me either. I have just started back in therapy to help me sort this out. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Also, how does the chat feature of Susan's Place work? I can't seem to make this happen. Thanks.
Cindy

Hi to everyone (all three) who have responded.
Helen it is good to know I am in good company, perhaps like wine we will continue to mature to the benefit of others. I have no idea what TOS stands for and I will probably never get to use this site to it's fullest. It took me several attempts just to get into here. Neither am I always on line, we have dial-up only, in this area. It is so slow I fall a sleep waiting for an email to come in some days.
Cindy , I am also on MSN so if you just need to chat look it up and send me an email when you plan to be there and I will attempt to link up with you. While I am not a crossdresser I have been with the same female spouse for over thirty five years and cross-dressing was certainly a part of that relationship and one she also had trouble with. Each person and couple are different and time is a great friend. Perhaps we can chat some time. As I said previously, you can learn a lot about me at my site at http://www3.ns.sympatico.ca/winpapernews .
Steph,Again that problem of finding my way around. I would love to have my site listed, but not totally sure how to accomplish that.
Have a great day and best wishes for the New year.
Regards
Denise

Denise, I added your site to the General Resources area of our Links area.
Click on the Main Page, above, and then the General Resources link. You'll find your site listed there. If it should be elsewhere, or if I messed up the key words, let me know, and I can fix it.
