I'm planning on booking a little jaunt around the us around easter but by that time i'll probably be on androcur which as you probably know is not FDA approved, right now i'm on spiro and estradiol with my GP but the GIC cleared me to come off that for a month and switch over to their regime around feb/march, now if one is traveling with a script is it ok to come to the US with non approved meds as long as they're not on some watch list (aka narcotics), does anyone have experience with this?

As long as you have a prescription slip or some kind of proof that your doctor prescribed it for you, I don't think you will encounter any problems. Although Androcour is not FDA approved, it is a common medication prescribed in other countries, especially European countries; therefore, US custom officials are aware of this fact.
My dad always travels with an "entire pharmacy" in a little suitcase. He carries his doctors' information and the copy of the pharmacy label where all the information regarding the prescribing physician is listed.
