Let me start off by saying that I walked around with just my boxers on today, and I actually felt uncaring and OKAY. (If I didn't look in a mirror)

But that got me thinking, what kind of underwear do you guys usually wear? Wearing the girly kind is really terrible and degrading (Unless you're into that kinda thing I guess) but isn't it necessary sometimes? I usually wear boxers (Can finally buy NORMAL men's boxers instead of little kids ones. Still, Transformers ROCK) but certain times of the month I am forced to wear the girls kind.

Or maybe there is a way around it? What kind of underwear do you usually wear? I find that boxers are the most comfortable. Also, Plaid totally rocks!

I wore boxer briefs for the red tide. I still do now that there is no red tide.

i have a wide variety from briefs to boxers, and i really like all of them...

when said time comes, i usually just wear some of the (few) leftover girl-things under them(while thinking about it, it occurs to me that they're not "leftover" but bought for that "situation"). not because i had to, more because of paranoia. but it still looks the same and only feels slightly different.

Wear my boxers all month long.  Been using tampons for several years, after the first day I can almost forget I am bleeding.  Never had anything except a tampon in me, it was hard for me start using them, but now they are the best way to handle my monthly problem.  Only have to change 2 or 3 times a day, no seeing,feeling or handling that pad every time you pee.  My boxers feel so great all the time.

I wear mens sport briefs.  I have some from Walmart (puritan brand I think) that are nice and low cut and fit pretty well although the thighs are cut a bit big.  I lurve them though.

I have an odd selection of underwear and tend to go between men's briefs and thongs.  (I'm weird; I find thongs to be really comfy.)

I only came out recently so I'm still, gently, refilling my closed ( it got nuked, real life tried to make a girl out of me, didn't work at all ) only have a handful of briefs short tbh. But at least I'm now allowed to shop where I like it.

So yeah hate to admit it but I'm still wearing allot of girl undies, ther ugly, worn off, did their time and I want to burn them in a fire.

I think I have tried every kind there is (except thongs--what is up with those??!). My favorite for packing and STP is good ol' BVD tighty whities. Hard to find but worth it. Also Hanes boxer briefs if they are small enough. Not really a fan of big baggy boxers, except for sleeping sometimes. Underwear is the ultimate personal choice!

I hate boxers. I hate flopping around in them and the way they rub against my parts. Some of my guy friends swear they're the most comfortable things but I just can't stand them.

The only time I can deal with them is sleeping in them when it's hot.

So I'm totally all about the briefs. And I wear Ginch Gonch almost exclusively because they're really comfy and they come in some fun patterns :)

I like boxers best. Nothing tight against me feels great.

Boxers or go commando. . .anything else just ain't comfy to me.

I bought some Calvin Klein briefs and some Levis recently just for the hell of it...love them...other than that I usually just wear Under Armour spandex shorts so I am ready for the gym!

Honestly? I don't have guy underwear yet. (Not that much out of the closet with family.)

If I'm not on my period, I'll wear gym shorts a lot as underwear. That might sound weird, but a few of my cisguy friends from school do that. So it's an okay substitute until I manage to get dude undies.

Boxer briefs are my favorite things to wear, but I only have three pairs. I also have one pair of boxers and they're awesome. The rest of my underwear are women's underwear (I don't know the exact cut or whatever, they're just...underwear)..I'll be phasing those out gradually.

i only wear boxer briefs. have about... 12 pairs i think? i get those ones from hanes.
when i'm suffering that time of month, i just use tampons. but i used to wear girls underwear UNDER my boxers. that kept dysphoria down for me.

My underwear and socks are a mix of mens and womens. I couldn't care less about my socks. Most of the time I don't care about my underwear. The price of mens underwear has gone up recently. Eventually the womens stuff will get phased out.

Can I just say that as a person who used to wear boxers for years, I recently switched to briefs and I don't think I will ever go back. There is so much extra unnecessary material with boxers which gets all baggy and annoying. The only time I might wear boxers is at night because you can wear them on their own, and not under trousers as during the day.

Boxers. I do have some girl undies, but I mainly wear them when that time of the month comes. I tried the tampons with boxers thing. It got messy. I don't see how you guys can do it...

This too is another reason why I hate boxers.

I too switch back to stupid girl undies for that time of the month. I use pads so I kinda have to.

Other than that, I usually roll commando or wear compression shorts to hold my double front down. I would rather wear boxer briefs, and I did when I had my tri-top. I can't stand boxers. My thighs chafe and there's too much material to be comfy in my jeans. They get all bunched up.

I only wear boxers, but from the sound of it, the boxer briefs are more comfortable. My only concern it them riding up. I might buy a pack to see  how I l like it.

I like these quite a bit, but seem pricey, but a 4 pack of boxers at Target is like $12. Is there any company that sells something similar to these, but a little cheaper?

i used to wear boxers only, and i thought i always would since i loved the loose feel to it. then i got my stp and i can't wear those anymore, the end of the packer sticks out of the left side and there's nowhere to tuck it in the middle like in my boxer briefs (which i only bought in the first place as something to hold the packer in and turned out out be pretty comfy) so I'm sticking to just my boxer briefs from now on and only wear my boxers as pajama shorts in the summer. too bad they ride up on the right side, don't know why it's only the right and not both or neither. whether I'm packing or not.  ???

My american eagle are the favorite, also like my ocean pacific.. then got a mix of hanes, fruit of the loom and some other brand.

My brain certainly knew I was trans before I ever started thinking about the girliness of my wardrobe :P I haven't had to re-stock with new underwear yet because all of my 'girl' ones are boycut (or boyleg), a natural preference my mother always allowed :D Essentially they're just guys briefs, but with less give in the front and the regretable picture of a woman on the pack :P

When I get a packer I'll switch to guys briefs, but for now I'm good with my boycuts :D

Ben Sherman boxers all the way! They're so comfortable. I threw out any other kind of underwear a few months ago.
During "that time" I have a mooncup, which I don't really like putting in or taking out, but I'm a practical guy and you don't have to change it as often as you do a tampon and once you've got the knack it's pretty easy.

I only wear boxer briefs now ( I phased out the girl undies earlier this year), but I do prefer the tighter kind with more spandex (like Calvin Klein 365's or premium Fruit of The Loom's), especially with tighter pants because of the bunching issue.  Looser fitting ones like the kind that are made of a rib-knit that don't retain elasticity and stretch out annoy me because they give really bad wedgies when you run or move a lot.

I never could stand briefs of any kind (or the girly panties for that matter), because I hate the feeling of elastic or a band of fabric wedged in the crease of my inner thigh and privates, that area chafes so easily.

Boxer briefs....or commando

Girl briefs.  Guy briefs.  Whatever covers my butt, doesn't ride up, and is (regrettably, due to the first two factors) totally unsexy for either gender, because of how little I like to spend on them.  If I'm not packing, nobody's going to see the things anyways, and I have more girl ones than guy ones, so may as well wear those ones if I don't need the extra space.

I don't know how anyone still retaining girl parts can wear boxers.  They just don't stay down, and it seems as though one reason behind the euphemism "snatch" is because that's exactly what those parts do with any extra loose fabric, of which there is plenty where boxers are concerned.  Pain.  Pain.  Pain.

Could never get used to tampons.  Tried a mooncup once.  Just...no.  Think I'll save it for if I ever go camping - might need it for a snakebite kit.  That kind of bleeding just gets treated like any other sort of wound.

I went to shop a yellow boxer today (for the new year, they say it brings money), but I couldn't find.
But I really don't care much about what type of underwear I wear, as long is a male one.

boxers stay down for me, nothing has every got caught up in there, O_o

I wear boxers. When that time of the month comes, I have boy shorts to hold the pad and then i put my boxers over them. I've never had my boxers catch on anything down there though. I find them really comfortable.

boxers unless I need to pack in which case I wear a smaller pair of briefs with the packer situated in the pouch ect. and then the square cut boxer briefs over top to keep it all together better.

I'm a boxer briefs kinda guy myself but have always had issues with underwear at that time of the month.  I'm small enough that a men's S is a little big, so a boys' XL should fit, too, so my plan is to try wearing boys' briefs in hopes that they'll be snug enough that I won't need to keep any girl-derwear around at all.  Has anyone else who fears the man-pons tried this?

I'm going to be honest with you. I'm not a big fan of underwear at all haha. If I do wear underwear it's this great unisex brief that american apparel sells xD. I have the same pair in 5 different colours haha.

Yep, it works fine.  I wear mens briefs all the time and no problemo.   To be honest, they're actually more comfortable.

I have one pair of boxers and 3 pairs of boxer-briefs, I'd like to change all my female underwear for briefs tho(because It's necessary to me to have underwear with a shape like that), and get a few boxers/boxer-briefs, I still have to get clothes since I just explained myself to my parents a few months ago (and I can't live on my own yet, nor have a job)

I love using boxers when I am home alone, or when wearing shorts, or for night-time when I'm going to sleep or stay in my bedroom, they are pretty comfy but I don't like wearing them with jeans and such.

For jeans, I prefer using boxer-briefs, they are pretty fine.

Yeah, I wear boxers, and during that time of the month I wear girl underwear and boxers over them.  Which might sound silly to wear 2 pairs of underwear at the same time, but it works for me.

It doesn't sound silly. I do the same thing.

I wear boxer briefs, on that time I wear briefs. No girly stuff needed, briefs are a bit wider then girlies but they work for me.

I haven't yet worked up the nerve to ask my mom to buy me boy undies. So, I just stole like, seven pairs of boxer briefs (he's got like, thirty pairs, so I knew he wouldn't notice) from my brother's clean laundry and wear them  :-\ During that oh so pleasant time of the month, I wear girl underwear with a pad and then either boxer briefs, gym shorts, or long john's over them.

However, a few days ago, I was doing a load of laundry which happened to have five pairs of boxer briefs in it, and somebody moved them to the dryer for me. I suspect it was my mom, in which case, she most definitely found out about my thievery. If it was anyone else, they probably didn't notice, unless it was my brother himself.

When I was a lot younger (about 8 or 9 I'd say) I used to wear boy's briefs — my mum was cool with it, figured it was just a stage (as parents do!) but it made school swimming lessons a bit tricky, having to change in the girls' changing rooms... I got it down to a fine art, wrapping a towl around my waist so nobody could see what underwear I had on :laugh:

These days I tend to just wear (slightly oversized) boxer shorts in the most hideous colours and patterns available! I'm really iffy about how things like trousers and underwear fit, I just can't stand wearing briefs anymore — far too tight for me... I really should go down a size though, my boxers are so huge they ride all the way up around my waist, making me look a bit like Simon Cowell in horrible pants

Just bought some boxer briefs today and I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised. I have NEVER liked wearing underwear before (always went commando), but these are nice and tight where they ought to be and loose where they should :D

I wear boxer briefs one size too small to hold my packer securely in place but when I am lounging around the house without a packer I just wear boxers. My favorite is the Joe Boxer brand, super comfy.

My favourites are the tight boxers like Calvin Klein's.  I get mine from H&M usually as they have cool patterns on them and are only £8 for three pairs! At the dreaded blob time I wear either my left over girl boxers or men's briefs - does the job, and it's only for a few days.  As soon as it's over though, the relief of putting normal boxers on again is brilliant!

For you guys who are worried about parents finding out, there are sporty underwear for girls that look and feel a lot like boxerbriefs. So, if they go shopping with you, you can opt for those or buy guys and throw the packaging out.
Just an idea.. Or if you're feeling a little brave and they corner you on it tell em they're comfy...  If nothing else moms tend to relate to that one, a lot of girls underwear isn't very comfortable to a lot of people.. And as a mom I'd be a lot more worried about g strings and lingerie than boxer briefs... :)

I go into a medically induced coma until the week is over! D: It all depends. Since I'm dating a guy and would like to not get pregnant, I'm on birth control pills ;_;! I just remind myself "better than a screaming child". Anyway, if I'm not feeling too great that month I'll just skip my period that month. Sure, it's nastier the next month, but at least I'm more emotionally prepared.

As for undies, the same I always wear. I wear my boxer briefs. It's weird, my boyfriend, my brother, and I all wear boxer briefs xD. Oh well, great minds think alike :'P. They're the most comfortable type for me in more ways than one. I am very obsessive compulsive regarding the tightness of my clothing. Pants must be loose, shirts depend on what I feel that day, underwear must be tight (and bras must be burned @_@...). If they're not right, then I ain't wearing them. Since I've gained weight (damn asthma meds!) I've gone pantsless most days unless I go out. Thankfully nobody cares if I walk around in my underwear and a t-shirt xD.

I recommend menstrual cups if you don't mind something inside you :'P. I don't have to deal with the bloody mess as often and they're more sanitary than pads and tampons. Great for someone who hemorrhages like I do since it catches more blood XP.

I love my new briefs too :D Man, I never loved underwear (on myself) as much as I do now!

And since it keeps being mentioned I figure my two cents should go in. When it's period time I just grin and bear it, and tampon tampon tampon. And midol. I have always had a really rough ride.

I am a tampon guy, keeps the mess inside  and don't see those pads when I pee.  I have heard of menstrual cups but they look to me to be messes getting in and out and you have to put your fingers inside to get them out.  I will stay with tampons, you have strings to pull to get them out.  I have to take somethings Aleve or midol the day before and the day I start.  Want to get on T, don't think I could very take a female hormone, no birth control pills for me.

Boxer or boxer brief are the best for me.

I wear boxers as often as possible but I've only got two pairs so I have to wear gym shorts as underwear until I do the wash (a bunch of my guy friends do this when they're too lazy to do their wash as well). During that dreaded time of the month, I'm forced to wear girls underwear under my boxers because I haven't been out to my family long and I don't have briefs- though I would never wear them any other time of the month. I don't think I would ever wear anything but boxers once I'm on T, but I've never tried boxer briefs. They look comfy, but I don't know...

Boxers most the time, just simple haines ones are my favorite. They are comfy and get the job done.

During my bye-week I use girl undies with boxers over em so I dun feel as grossed out and the heating pads stick to my boxers better because they are higher up than the girl undies so they keep my muscles warm.

Do boxer breifs work for pads? And what brands have pouches?

I actually brought my first pair of boxers yesterday, felt like everyone was watching me when i brought them but get really excited to try them. Wore them today, felt abit wierd but i love them. I going to try out different styles of underwear to see which i prefer, im quite excited about that, is that wierd :)

I personally like low rise briefs... but I also wear boxer briefs... I don't like boxers ... too airy for me

I like my boxers and wear them all month.  I use tampons so can wear them all month with no problem.

I just got 3 new pairs of boxers from aeropostale. Their my favorite from there because their like thick and so soft at the same time. And, I really like the colors.

I switched to boxers in middle school....my parents hated it but eventually gave in. A few years ago I started wearing boxer briefs and I will never go back. I like going to Marshalls or Ross, they always have cute ones - My favs are Puma, Lucky and Starter. I actually just bought the Starter ones and am in love with them, they are cut really nice and don't budge.
