I am happy being around my boss Gary and Have been working for him for 3 years,will be 4 in Febuary.He is very good to me knowing I am a pre op ts and took me in 3 years ago.I work as a tattoo artist at his tattoo and piercing shop,he likes my work.I was working at another tattoo shop which the owner was making bad remarks about me and treated me like crap.I could not take it anymore and luckily my brother Louie knew Gary and went over to meet him.I met him and showed him my portfolio of my work,he liked it on the spot.He offered me a job offer and surprised me.He is very respectful to transsexuals like me and that is when I took the job offer on the spot.He treats me just like any person should be treated with respect.He was taught not to judge anyone and it includes transsexuals.I told him my story when he got to know me at first and he is very understanding.I am staying where I am working at knowing he cares about me and never had a boss like this before.He was good to me yesterday and gave me an early Christmas present,a raise and I deserved it.

That is so good to hear. There are lots of really nice people in the world. But one bad one can really make life like hell.

My boss including his wife Kim are very kind and know to treat their employees right.His wife co owns the shop.

Regardless whether or not one is Trans, bosses who treat their people right will always get a better quality of work.  Your boss(es) sounded like cool people.

My bosses are cool.Gary does the piercing and his wife does tattoos also.They see I love being a tattoo artist and I have a few tattoos on me

I should give a shout out to my boss' as well, I have two and one knows my background and we've had our problems in the past (e.g. I was training all the new recruits and he was giving them a heads up about me, but with good intentions) but we've got to a good place now and we get along great. The other is just amazing; she's no fool and I'm sure she knows all about me but has never acknowledged it or asked me anything, it's a non issue. She gave me a palette of MAC cosmetics for xmas and despite my resistance to the concept she really is becoming a mother figure (she always encouraged everyone else to call her Ma but I've never done it). I'm their highest performer by a pretty large margin in the profit figures, shows that I know I'm lucky and am grateful to be working for these people.  ^-^
