Susan's Place Transgender Resources

So...... on Thursday night I went out alone in girl mode and went shopping for the first time!  ;D


I actually went out the night before and ran thru a drive-thru with no problems and it left me wanting more, so I decided to go out the next night to get gas. Well, just getting gas didn't cut it... it was late and with no place else open I headed to Wal-Mart. I got there anre there were quite a few redneck guys in the parking lot, I figured I'd wait them out before I went in, a few minutes later they left...... and some more showed up! I sat there in the car for every bit of 45 minutes, felt like chickening out, but it hit me..... I'm transitioning.... it won't be too long before girl mode is my only mode, might as well make this my first step into that!

Long story sorta shorter, I went in and shopped around in the womens section for maybe half an hour, two employees were floating around the area stocking, but they never gave me a second look. I ended up finding some more pajama pants like I already have, a super cute pair of jeans, and the most comfy and cute car coat, which was great because I had no girly coat at all until that point. I grabbed everything, went thru the checkout, there was a guy in line behind me, but neither he or the checkout girl noticed anything odd with me at all despite my horrible voice.


All in all everything went fantastic, I can't believe it went so smoothly! Sinice then I've been out in girl mode every evening, haven't done any more shopping (Wal-Mart made me broke ;) ) but I have been thru another drive thru and once more everything went smoothly. I'm so inspired I think I'm going to go to my first appt. at the TG clinic next week in girl mode, might as well right?!

The coat is grey despite how it looks in the pic and soooooo comfortable! I love the detail on the jeans, they were on sale too!

Congratulations girl! I just went through a similar experience at Kohls! I bought a bra by myself, not hiding it in my mom's cart. I also bought a sliming suit! It is a high, is it not?  ;D

Great job on your progress. Please be careful going out at night. I'm not sure how late you went out, but remember that going out alone at night can be dangerous for any woman.

Wow, your hair is simply to die for!

And you haven't started HRT yet? wow again.  Well I agree you pass now, look out world when you get all done!

Personally I don't think you have anything to worry about.  You look like an  old GF of mine when she was younger.  Love the coat and the jeans detail too.  8)

If you aren't already fully transitioned then why on earth not because from those photos there simply isn't a hope in hell that anyone but a blind idiot could ever see you as anything but female. Honestly I really mean that!

If you really aren't transitioned, and I really can't see how you could ever get away with walking into a men's room looking like that, then you should definitely think seriously about transitioning any time you like.

Aww. Thanks so much Jenny. I kinda see a girl in my pictures, and sometimes in the reflection etc, but I only kinda see it with plenty of makeup. Not that I don't love makeup, I do love it a lot, I just can't wait till I look half as good without makeup.

No hrt yet and sadly not full time, hardly part time some weeks. As for boy mode, no makeup, low ponytail and voice go a long way. I'll be so glad when I can be done with boy mode. Excuse me. How do you ever pass as male? If you girls think you look like guys well there are a lot of people in your work place who need very serious eye tests :laugh: :laugh:.

If they haven't said anything it may be because they are confused why two such lovely looking ladies are trying to pass as guys.

I don't really pass as a guy, but that's because I'm always straightening my hair and wearing makeup. I do look like a guy without makeup though. I can't find a recent picture without though. Thank you though, made my night! :)

Thanks! I do feel like I look pretty good, but I don't really think hormones have effected my face really. Not yet. I feel like all the feminising that has happened has been me - tweasing, shaping and trimming eye brows, getting better at makeup, plus my hair is growing out more. But when I take my makeup over it's goodbye Britney =/

I don't think that is so uncommon, even for cisgender women. Russell Brand posted a photo on Twitter the other day of Katy Perry without her makeup. Let's just say makeup does wonders for her too. According to some news reports, she is still mad at him! Needless to say, Melody doesn't readily jump to mind if you see me sans makeup!

She looked pretty haha. But the point is she still looked like a girl.

Britney you are right. Patty sans make up is not the Patty I want to see in the mirror or in photos. Make up is fun, helpful and often necessary for many of us girls.  :D

Roxy & my youngest daughter are teaching me a thing or two about it.
