If you had to choose to be a VERY BEAUTIFUL BOMBSHELL but NOT PASSING or to be PASSING FOR FEMALE at 100% but ORDINARY-LOOKING, which would you choose honestly?

I know girls like below who looked like a bombshell but then turned out to be ordinary-looking after FFS. I wonder if this FFS is like this all those who formerly looked very beautiful. I'm still hesitant about this FFS and I'm afraid to turn out ugly or weirdo like Michael Jackson after FFS.

What pisses me off the most is I NEVER understood how come some extreme straight men would prefer go with an ordinary-looking girl than go with a bombshell transsexual?

I think she passes beautifully before FFS.  The only thing that MIGHT tip me off is the voice.

The woman in the second clip was one month post-op and still quite swollen.
She was also wearing no make-up and didn't have her hair done, unlike the first clip.
You're comparison is going to be unfairly biased due to these factors - and totally inaccurate.
Show us a clip of 6-12 months post surgery with her dressed up for a night on the town.

What are talking about sis? LOL! It's that I know 'strict straight men', they prefer bio women even they are ordinary-looking over transsexuals who look like Goddesses and I find this unfair. HOW n WHY do they prefer that way? And the AVERAGE STRAIGHT are all like that. THEY WOULD NEVER GO WITH A POST-OP TRANSSEXUAL NO MATTER HOW BEAUTIFUL SHE MAY BE.

Sorry to intrude on the ladies' side, but I thought this was interesting. In the case of attractiveness vs. passng, I would pick passing any day. Looking good would mean nothing if I wasn't happy with myself, and I certainly wouldn't be if I appeared to be my birth sex to others. In fact, I think I would have a very goodlooking female face, but I would be so uncomfortable it wouldn't even be worth it.

I agree that she looks more beautiful in the first video, but still very feminine, more so than a lot of bio women.  I think there's all ranges of "femininity" and "masculinity" (looks wise) in all people, but you can usually tell if someone is either female or male.  I see a lot of gorgeous women (models, actresses, people in real life) who might be considered to have masculine features (which can even be what makes them beautiful) and a lot of below average women that have what are considered very feminine features.  I don't think this is about being transgendered really.  A woman can be beautiful and "masculine" or beautiful and "feminine" as well as ugly and "masculine" or ugly and "feminine".

I do understand what you're trying to understand (I think anyway) -- why would a man not want a beautiful transgendered women over a less attractive bio woman?  Hmmm, most likely because he's afraid and can't handle the idea, or maybe he likes the less attractive women's PERSONALITY better.  Beauty may be an asset, but it certainly isn't the priority in choosing a mate.  But really, many guys just can't deal with being with a transgendered women -- why?  I don't know if this question can really be answered, maybe a million different reasons. You might have to put each of them in a therapist's office to get your answer.

she looks a bit creepy in the second video, but she's obviously still recovering. In the video posted by another user, she looks gorgeous.

That's not indicative of all FFS though. Different surgeon, different kind of FFS, she could look less 'weird' (as you put it). Using this person as a benchmark is pointless as there are too many uncontrolled variables to account for.

No doubts in my mind at all. I absolutely prefer to look natural and pass even if it means that no one notices me. To my eyes about 98% of women I see have some masculine features, and well over 50% of them have more masculine features than I do, so I figure I am no worse off than any of them and I really don't see why I should expect to be any better.

The only things which I might have done IF I had ever had them to do, were adams apple and maybe a brow ridge, but as I never developed an adams apple that wasn't necessary, and any brow ridge I may have is so slight that it is easily within the androgynous range and thus broadly acceptable for a female face.

I don't wear makeup, and I haven't had FFS. I may not be a beauty, but I pass and I simply don't understand why anyone would want to be beautiful if it meant not passing. I also agree with Vexing that it isn't necessarily an either/or. You can be both.

But for me, given that many beautiful women often struggle to be taken seriously by men I am actually almost glad that I am not beautiful because it means I am mostly still allowed to have a brain. ;)

It is certainly possible to be beautiful and pass...there are enough girls here who you'd be hard pressed to guess weren't natal females to prove this point. However, it is also possible to chase a vision of female perfection that doesn't really exist, spending lots and lots of money on surgery and pass worse than they did before. People get suspicious of perfection and tend to look even harder for flaws where as if you aim for a solid 7 out of 10, people will forgive just about anything and take you at face value because no one is perfect.

What do you mean? I wasn't a bad looking as a male my problem was that I intentionally hid my features behind unstyled long greasy hair looked miserable and wore black baggy clothes all the time because I didn't want to be a guy. I felt diseased to I tended to look it even if I wasn't.

As a girl I suspect I'm pretty plain but that's fine I'm happy to take that any-day :)

Whew, ok.  Well what can I add to this thread that hasn't already been said?  Honestly, beauty is in the eye of the beholder unless we're taking in subconscious thoughts such as face symmetry and what not.  You can find somebody beautiful until their personality shows otherwise...then they aren't so beautiful anymore!  What one person may find beautiful, another may find repulsive and so on and so on. 

Personally I like people who have androgynous features on their face, does everyone else hold this view?  No...so don't worry about what the 'extreme straight men' are thinking and just keep on feeling comfortable with your own self.

Simple: It's that male masculinity thing. Anything a guy thinks makes them less "manly", or "gay", they don't want to have anything to do with. They can't deal with the fact that they are with a person who was born male. I know many who look like GODDESS at a glance but as soon as they open their mouth to speak, all men would flee. You can be VERY BEAUTIFUL but there are many ways to detect that you're not a bio girl. And NO MATTER HOW BEAUTIFUL YOU MAYBE, the average straight men would dump you.

I think she looks a  lot better in the second video, she's not as attractive as the first one but she definitely looks a lot more natural and feminine.

The beauty vs ordinary thing...eh. Being beautiful has many many advantages and in a lot of ways gains you access to "special treatment" definitely, but guys will always see you as a sex object and it will be difficult trying to maintain a relationship with anyone. Not to mention, you have to deal with a ton of cattiness and jealousy from other women, but that's a given.
Being ordinary will probably get you engaged and married and the guy would probably never know, but you will always yearn to be beautiful. Either way for a ts female it is not easy.

Well i know a few TS girls who are dancers and they TOTALLY pass...until they open their mouth and their voice is obviously male. So yes you can be beautiful and not pass.

when I was first researching transition and watching peoples before and after videos I came across this girl Who I thought was stunning before FFS. When I saw her after FFS video It was my personal opinion that she just became average and idk I really preferred her before :p

That's often the case with any beautiful person who has cosmetic surgery done on their face. It's not a trans specific thing.

Or you can just take the special treatment for what it is, enjoy it, and still be independent and still have self value AND be a well rounded person. I am not a feminist so i don't care much for feminist literature, i think feminism actually makes things worse not better...that's just my opinion. I've taken women's studies in college and everybody seems very uptight. eh  :laugh:

I agree with the 6-12 month after thing. It looks like she's having trouble speaking and moving her facial muscles because of the scarring probably left from significant contouring her jawline & genioplasty (chin surgery). Genioplasty alone severely impacts the ability to speak properly and you are still recovering from the surgery for at least a year. If you have a plate placed in to hold your chin in place, it makes it even more difficult to speak and control your lower lip.

Check up on her in 2 years and she could have all her facial mobility back since she's still a little stiff in the link above. For those who don't know, plastic surgery comes with much side effects and consequences. It's a give & take. If you're making a decision to have surgery done, you should consider the benefits and the risks from the surgery.

There are many factors to consider in surgery. You need to optimize your benefit while weighing the risks. Beauty is subjective and the results can be different person to person depending on the choices they make. A person can become uglier or prettier from surgery - it's a risk. No one says you can't become more beautiful from surgery. It depends on the situation, circumstances, and your choices.

Well i don't do that for my boyfriend so i have no idea what you're talking about, some of us have both beauty and brains whereas others just think they do =]

I had this conversation with my mum and after 39 years as a thoroughly average looking person, I think that if I spent a fortune on ffs and such and looked stunning, I'm not all that sure that I'd have a clue how to deal with it! I don't even think that it's a question of feminism because
I think that all really good looking people get treated differently and very good looking women get treated very differently by other women as well as men and I think that you most likely need to have experienced this a little younger than I am to be able to adapt. I'll do what I need to do in terms of things that are obviously masculine but I've no real desire to look like Kylie!

Don't be so hard on yourself, you are a LOT prettier than most people and you are even more beautiful just due to everything that you have been through in life. Beauty is 50% attitude and 50% confidence, you will get even more of that once you have fully transitioned =]

I agree with this. I'm straight, but beautiful women intimidate me as well. My bestie works with this girl and we just die we think she's the most gorgeous person ever and a couple of times we talked for a while about how pretty she is lol. But I'm so scared to ever talk to her. =/ haha not that I see her all the time but when we go into the store and she chats with sam I'm like....uhh *dies inside* lol. And not that i'm good at approaching boys I can see myself approaching a plain boy before I chat it up with a hot stranger.

I'm actually slightly scared by this...i like the quite life too, but enough people have said that I better get used to the attention that I have to accept that they're probably not all blind or deranged. If they are right I'm really not sure how I'll deal with it. Maybe i should become a nun.

lol I don't believe in religion really. It ruins things just think politics cans. Not saying I don't respect either, I just wish they weren't such problem causers. =/ Just my personal experience though. My best friend is christian.

I think a nun would be a very safe choice for a transgendered woman.  Safe is never anything that I aspired to though.

Even though this wasn't directed at me, for what its worth I understand and think you live in the real world unlike some other forum members... ;) .

After being seen as an attractive male who had women come up to me to hit on me(pity cause i only like guys :P) I have the expectation of being an attractive female and getting the same attention from men.  Maybe its my youth talking at 25 but I love looking good and going to exclusive clubs in hot designer outfits and meeting people.

Hot girls get talked to all the time, probably just not in the clubs some people here go to. Besides the dance floor is a time honored place of meeting new people :)

Anyway I think thats why me and a lot of younger girls(under 35) on utube have opted for FFS first over SRS or anything, after being seen as a hot guy your whole life you dont want to drop down the worlds social ladder to average....Pretty people do get special treatment whether it just be put first in a queue or an upgrade for a plane, its nice to be noticed for the effort you put into your looks & over all style.

Plus in your twentys lifes hard enough without having to worry about not passing when at Uni or when going out on the town with friends etc, nicer to just get your FFS out of the way & start ur new hawt life :)'

oh and ps: just cause a guy doesnt want to date a trans girl does not make him a Trans-phobe like Vexxing said....some men want natural childbirth with their partner and live an easy life where they dont have to explain an issue like that to family/coworkers/friends. Does that mean their bad people? Nope! Perfectly normal in my books to want a genetic child & an easy life. While I might not be able to provide a easy life to my man im sure Ill make it a fun one and there are plenty of guys looking for one of those.
