Hello one and all,
First, I suppose you could call me Josie. The username is a silly little thing I just came up with to be funny. I'm 29 years old, I work full-time, I go to school full-time, and I'm just starting hormones. I've been off-again, on-again with hormones before, but now I'm committed to doing this right. I was fed up with hating myself in order to have some kind of normalcy. I'm not so naive as to believe that all my problems will be solved by transitioning. I'm just trading one set of problems for another. However, I feel that I'll be happy with this set of choices instead of living a weird in-between existence. I've never felt like a part of the male world. Ever since I was old enough to realize there was a difference between boys and girls, I knew I wanted to be a girl and was sad because I wasn't.
There's more about me obviously, but I feel this is enough of an introduction for now. Thank you for letting me be a part of your community. :)

welcome to the forum honey, you will find a lot of support by compassionate people here.
and of course all your problems would not be solved by transitioning but you can be a lot happier when you have an identity.
Maybe it's easier to face the problems than.
