Title: T-Blocker and AA: difference in bodyhair loss?
Post by: Riannah on January 07, 2011, 04:35:13 PM
I've been on T-blocker for 5 months and oestrogen patches for 3 months. I have noticed lots of changes, but haven't noticed a change in body hair. I'm not very very hairy (had laser on my body couple of years ago), but I'm hairy enough to hate the body hair that I do have. I shave my whole body every week and it's a drag.. It costs me so much time and energy.. Not shaving would only depress me, I mean really depress me, so I shave..

I use the epilator too sometimes but mostly during summers. I get too many ingrowing hairs if I use it too often. Today I shaved and I would have sworn that I have more body hair now than I did before. It could also be because I haven't use the epilator in a couple of months. I'm not sure.

Anyway.. I will start with AA (androcur) at the end of this month. I would like to know: is there a difference in bodyhair loss between T-Blocker and AA? Or is it just a matter of how long you have been using it, either blocker or AA? After how long did you start losing body hair?

CA (CYPROTERONE ACETATE) is a t blocker. It shuts down FSH which is peoduced in the pituitary glad which is the hormone that tells the testicles and adrenals to make T. It is very strong and can easily take you to below cis female T levels which can be bad because even cis girls need a little T (35-50 ng/ml) to feel healthy and normal. Crashing T can cause major depression, letharvy, sleepless night, brain fog, abnormal sugar and lipid metabolism, weight gain and more. Have your T level monitored regularly and get the mindset that you need to get it to zero.

it's taken me a really long time (year?) before body fur started to reduce (and even then I'm not sure by how much).

the process has gotten faster since orchi.
