I Have been trying for some time to work up enough nerve to post here. I have no trouble talking to people verbally. I write a lot but have always had trouble sharing it with anyone.
I am a 56 year old MTF. I have only been on this journey for about a year and a half. I am about 14 months into HRT but I have really been taking things rather slowly.
I live with my girlfriend of over 16 years and her 16 year old daughter. Without delving into it to deeply I will just say that the relationship with my girlfriend is somewhat strained. But then it always has been. My girlfriend is unhappy about my transitioning to say the least. Her daughter says she is alright with as long as I do not talk about it. She considers me to be her father and I consider her to be my daughter. Her biggest concern was that I would move out. I have made a promise to her to stay put until she leaves the nest. It will not be long as she has but one more year of high school and has plans in place to go away to college.
Anyway I do not want to make this long and boring. I just want to say that I really feel more love and understanding here then any other forum I have been lurking in over the last year or so.

Welcome to our little family. Over 4800 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.
Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams. Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.
But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another sister. :icon_hug:
