hey! i've been on T just at 2 months now (a low dose, i think about a third of what i'll eventually be on) and i've been feeling kinda strange emotionally.
- i feel more right in general, which is good
- all of my emotions are amplified. if i feel happy, i really FEEL it. it's like someone took the plastic wrap off of everything
- at the same time, i feel more mellow and even tempered
all of this is combining to make me feel kinda off center and weird, but it's not really a BAD feeling, just.....different and kinda intense. another weird thing, i feel like i've gotten GIRLIER since starting T. that just freaks me out. i dont feel like a dude anymore :-\
how about you guys? similar? am i crazy?

Those are the principal side effects of these drugs.
If the pre-treatment assessment was done properly, then you should have the emotional stability to deal with it.
And no, you're not crazy.

On T for 8.5 months now and I really didn't notice a huge difference in my emotions.
I am much happier and more confident now but I think most of that is from taking control of my life not a change in hormones. 8)
However you are not me and it sounds like this is right for you. Don't worry about feeling more feminine at the moment. This is a transition period for you and it won't last forever. Just go with the flow and enjoy the ride.

Overall i've gotten much happier. And like you've said i'm more mellow and even-tempered.
But before T I was angry all the time and just hated the way I was, but now that i'm taking control
and taking the appropriate steps to change myself i've changed emotionally. I've always been an optimistic person
but now i'm almost always happy and and much more mellow. I do tend to get irritated a little quicker but get over right away.
