Nope, just keep being tomboyish.  Its who you are right?  No way in hell I'm going to stop being tomboyish in favor of acting super duper girly if I'm not that.  The only thing I'm faking is my voice!

This.

When I can begin physical transition I don't plan to give up anything I truly like. If anyone tries to make me, I shall tell them to bugger off.

Do what you need that makes you feel the most at peace with yourself; it's the ultimate goal.

I am not a tomboy, but...I have a male streak a mile wide. I like confrontation, action movies, I love guns and knives. I dress mostly unisex. (I wear tshirts and jeans most days.) And I prefer my lovers to be female.

These things do not take away the dysphoria or make me have a bad reaction to estrogen. I am still very female.

Took me a long time to reconcile these things but one day it dawned on me. Women come in all types.
I just happen to be a woman with alot of stereotypical male traits.

Women have fought long and hard for the right to be a tomboy.  Being a woman doesn't mean being feminine. Be real

Just be yourself and don't worry on it too much  ;)

I like to think that I have struck a nice balance between my tomboy and girlie girl... I don't know, I'm just being myself and not worrying about it much

pffffttt.  Don't worry about being tomboyish, you are still female.  My G/F is a regular rule breaker and can be masculine ( works on the car ) and still be that cuddle teddy bear who is still feminine.

There is on right way to be.  Just be you.  That is what this whole journey is about.  Being ourselves.

Why would it be a bad thing?
It's a great way to hide in plain sight.

Hell no, like others have said you don't transition to keep pretending to be someone you're not. Short hair is so much more convenient too ;)

Definitely don't change who you are at heart.  If you're tomboyish, it's totally fine!  I too am pretty athletic and tomboyish and competitive, its just my personality!  Besides, I think a lot of guys like girls who are competitive and can give them a run for their money!

Be yourself. Let others stress about it if they need to. ;)

Hi Arielle, just like Naari said as long as you are yourself it's no big deal. Boys can be girlish and girls can be a tomboy, it certainly hasn't anything to do with gender identity.

Though I'm kind of girly I also like to hang out with guys and can be tomboy-ish some days... some days (or when I'm just lazy:P) I just wear pants and a basic shirt, no or very few make-up hair in a ponytail , other days I really like to curl up my hair and wear a nice dress or other outfit and be stylish and wear nice make-up etc. It goes up for lots of girls I think.
