Facebook is a tricky little thing ain't it? I have a decent amount of friends on there(200+) and would say 30% know me, in and out. Mostly family, couple close friends, and past gf's. I've been stealth, since I was 16..11 years ago. When I left my old high school, rumors had flew around about me for years before. It never bothered me, I played sports, and was your typical "tomboy".
Well - it's funny how random ass people, I wasn't even friends with back then, are trying to add me on facebook. A few I straight up grew up with. From babies, in church, same grades, etc. My last name isn't common, at all, so they are SEARCHING. I added one in particular. It was a girl I grew up with, was never really close friends with, her younger sister. She adds me, asks me how life is, blah blah blah. I didn't go into depth about anything with me, just said I moved away, changed my name, am living life etc. Funny how after I sent her that, she stops responding. My profile is completely private, if you're not on my friends list. I just found it funny, she obviously added me, to creep my pictures, and be a nosy b&Tc%! I still think its funny, it doesn't really bother me all that much. Just cracks me up these people will go out of their way, to search and search names, find me, add me, then be a ghost, and just be a spectator. Get a life, for real.

My mom is a Facebook stalker. She is always asking me if I remember someones name because she wants to look them up. During one of our arguments about me being trans I yelled something about her Facebooking future me.

I never understood that. Really, I avoided contact with enough people that I don't have a past that people can stalk me from, unless you're counting elementary school or summer camps. I've got 20 something friends. Only ever talk to maybe 6 of them. There are some advantages to being invisible, and a lack of people looking me up is one of them.

Yeah sometimes having close relationships is more trouble than its worth.

That's why I limit facebook to people who actually TALK to me, and know me as male. Everyone else is just.. a facebook creeper in my mind.
