Title: Did he just check me out?

I caught some office type (he wasn't that pretty) giving a really furtive and guilty glance...he looked decidedly embarrassed when i spotted him. that's classic guy caught staring at the girl behaviour isn't it?
I mean he could have clocked me, but for some reason I just don't think he'd clocked me...don't know why, i must have just woken up on the right side of the bed this morning.

Sounds like he was checking you out to me!
Congrats! It's a cool feeling.
I remember when I got checked out as a girl, it was few and far between. I never understood what had happened until later that day. One time a parked car honked its horn at me, so I went back over there and looked in the window thinking it must be a friend of mine. No, it wasn't... I asked, "Do I know you?" He's like, "No, just saying hello..."
I thought that was quite strange until I told people about what had happened. They enlightened me.

Not only was he checking you out, he's probably checked you out before and later masturbated while thinking about you - hence the guilty look :D

Welcome to womanhood!
I remember the exact moment when I realised that the really skeezy guys at my old workplace probably had masturbatory fantasies about me.
Later on that day I got blasted on Vodka in an unsuccessful bid to delete the memory.

I suspect I've got that to look forward to this friday...it's our big poshy works do and I will be making a bold statement. I imagine between me and my friend Kai, we'll get people talking (and probably fantasising).
I'm half expecting to have to fend off a few advances...time to get drunk i think.

As I just said to her in a chat session the trouble is the only people who check me out these days are either dirty old men or rather butch lesbians of around 40 something years. ::)
Of the two I guess the second is the more appealing although neither completely fills me with excitement to be honest. :P
Ah well maybe next time if she gets an attractive one she can throw him in my direction.

It's a tough call, that one. It's nice to be thought of as attractive, but it's not nice to be objectified.
Being trans makes it doubly tough.
I guess if I was a big, hirsute, stone butch wearing flannel and work boots, I probably wouldn't get objectified by men though.

Most of them. Apparently it's a impulsive behaviour for men to look at a woman's breasts first, then at her face.
When I'm feeling brave and assertive, I'll walk down the street and check where men's eye start when looking at me; depressingly, the majority do exactly what I've described - chest first, face after.
Although, it doesn't help that my tits are at eye level for most men :-\

Okay, so I'm cyber-flirting. At my age, so what? Let an aging hippie chick have her fun. Besides, on the radio as I write this, they're playing slammin' Eric Clapton (Cream) from back in The Day (1967)! Life is good! Rock on! Yeah, I'm playin' air guitar! Smart and pretty girls and Sixties Flashbacks on a Saturday night ... THIS is livin' good!

welcome to womanhood. Just enjoy it girl! :) Only when they continue to gaze at tits, but, face, etc as if they are undressing you with their eyes it becomes uncomfortable. One day me and a friend were walking a busy street near traffic lights... a car with two boys in it was speeding and using the horn and waving to us... and then in a split second *BAM* the car crashed right into another car waiting for the traffic light...it was kind of funny! haha ;D

Yeah, even without eye contact you just 'feel' when they are checking you out just as the truck driver did on you... Flirting when in a traffic jam or when awaiting traffic lights in a multiple-lane street is also funny :P

I think I'll jump on here and tell y'all something that happened to me today. I walked into the shoe store (SALE!) and was immediately greeted by the cashier in the sort of silly male half sing-song "Hey look at what just walked through the door" kind of voice. He was interested, I know he was, he started to strut around and he asked me if I needed help three times in the twenty minutes I spent there. I am by no means confident about my voice, but I sucked it up and gave what little responses I felt confident giving. He made the most concerted effort to try and sell me handbags, lip gloss, jewelry, socks... It was totally cute, and sort of made me feel like: staaalker at the same time. Then I realized: "Oh no, my stupid beard shadow that he hasn't yet noticed, the name on my card!"
He fell apart at the register. Totally retracted and embarrassed. Yeah, this stuff really, really needs to go, and soon.

I was conservatively dressed. Well, except for heels, because I felt I needed a "boost" of femininity. Form fitting straight leg jeans, tan peacoat, white shirt. I was on my way to school, but never made it there due to a family issue.
It felt great all the way up to the end! :)

A couple weeks ago I was at work putting up sale labels after close with another associate, one of my friends who was the first person I told at work. From what I can understand I never get attention from guys my own age.
However Older men show a very distinctive intrest in me particularly if I wear this one outfit (It's perfectly decent isn't lude or anything) but it draws alot of attention from older men.
If I do get looks from guys my own age... I don't notice.
The first time it happened I was an idiot he was late 30's and he was pretty good looking and I stupidly let myself get carried away ¬.¬ (It was during the ->-bleeped-<- landlord saga and I was feeling down after having been insulted and called a he-she all day and I needed to get away) I could have gotten myself in alot of trouble with what I did. (I let him drive me somwhere ALONE) So stupid of me. he turned out to be okay... but he could have easily been a rapist.
The subsiquent times have been odd. Walking past a jolly and drunk homeless person in london he responded with "OH WOW HELLO GORGIOUS!" very loudly (he was saying other flirtatious things to other women) and he followed me down the road I spoke to him casually he seemed nice enough if drunk and abit dirty he paid me alot of compliments in a short space of time. He was in his 50's
When shopping at aldi in the same outfit I was picking out bread to whitch this reasonably well groomed father figure man in his 40's said to me "haha... That sure is alot of bread!" intresting pickup line... I responded with "Yes... Yes it is."
Walking back an even older man in his 60's beckoned me over from his window with "hello sexy could come over here." I actually ran away and got changed into my more andro clothes once I got home.
There were times before that likes months ago when a guy flirted with me but I would overhear his friends laugh with "Was that a dude or a chick" stuff and he'd answer "I'm too drunk to care anymore."

I would take TEN showers after being in a situation like that, ughhh, what makes old men think they can be so forward? Nasty.

People (so I'm reminding us that this means "not just men":)) are famous for not realising they're as old as they actually are. Older men (and women) are attracted to younger women (and men) because they're attractive, and then the issue isn't "should I be attracted?" but "what is appropriate/dignified to do with that feeling?" - and then along comes alcohol, and then you can pretty much throw apropriate/dignified out of the window, sigh.
So if we're going to bang on about dirty old men, then we don't get to spin-doctor dirty old women into "cougars" or whatever, do we now? ;) Because I'm not happy seeing older men's longing for love and affection treated differently from women's. I've been on the receiving end of both when I was younger, and I either appreciated it or didn't, depending on how it was served and who the person was serving it - and women can be just as creepy as men.
I really like young women and men to look at, they have great skin, they've not lost the knack of smiling and being enthusiastic/passionate about stuff yet, etc. - but I want someone closer my own age for intimacy, whether it's physical or all the other kinds available. Even 10 years' difference can make things really weird.

I think if two adults (or two not-yet-adults) want to get it on, it's up to them to work out why they like each other and what they want from each other, and to both be responsible for what's happening, regardless of age difference. But in practice, if someone a lot younger than me expresses an interest (and it has happened once or twice, and is very flattering!) I'm suspicious about what they're looking for - and with good reason, because the two people I've dated who were 10 years younger than me both ended up casting me in the role of their dad that they were rebelling against. No thanks.
(Note for the polyamorous among us - this is a deliberate oversimplification!)

I think I may have copped one or two guys having a perve when I am 'en femme' in the car, but hard to be sure.
Randi, if you ever visit Oz, you will have to change your name though, "Hi, I'm Randy" will certainly get some attention! "Me too, your place or mine?" ;D

I get the looks from all ages of guys and have noticed a few girls looking twice although they might have merely been curious about getting their signals mixed and just wanted to double check LOL. Yes, the perves are out there and probably looking for an easy mark-they won't find one here.
Oz, I would love to visit Oz and meet someday. I really don't have any good close friends here anymore-they passed years ago. I would enjoy finding a new one. Have you any suggestions for a suitable name change? My mother was going to name me Stephanie but my baby sister got that one instead.

argh it happened again >_< this guy was the worst of them all. Very seedy man. He was creepy as hell.
I was waiting for my bus and I had an hour to wait in the coach waiting room I was sitting by the radiator keeping warm. and this this very scruffy looking man comes in he speaks to me for abit making completely random small talk with me.
At whitch point he decides to stand next to me (I was sitting on the floor.) Where he stares at me for half an hour... Manipulating himself...
u.u staring back at him dosen't make him stop just seems to intensify his fixation on me.
never felt a stare make me feel so dirty and objectified. he vanishes off for a moment after 15 minutes and a group of cis-females invite me to sit with them shuffling up and making a space on the bench. They then ask me. "What the hell is with that guy? he was totally perving over you." "I KNOW" my response.
The man comes back but realizing I'm no longer sitting on my own he just leaves. eeeeeee -.-
I don't even draw the attention of nice older men O.o It's only the real creepers

Oh god hun!! :o
That sounds horrible! Depending on how you feel about it, it might be worth just mentioning it to the police, it may sound extreme but staring at someone for 1/2 hour while 'manipulating' yourself is not acceptable behavior, and at least it would be logged if he does this again. I'm just glad that there were others there to discourage this creepbag!
Take care M x
