If you are on HRT be careful when combining other medication(s) you are taking.
Going through transition can be tough enough emotionally. Believe me, I know, that last couple of weeks were horrendous. It caught me by surprise actually because I am generally a very positive and happy person. But, a few weeks ago I started to really get emotional and very anxious. Even my spouse was surprised at this. So, I called a Doctor friend of mine, and we went through a list of situations that may be causing this.
1) Transition. That was ruled out because since starting my transition I have been very very happy.
2) Baby on the way. Sure, it can promote a little anxiety, but it's GOOD anxiety.
3) Problems with the spouse? NOPE.
4) Problems with a job? Eh. Not really, but they are not coming in like before.
5) What other medications are you taking? Well, I just got back on Ritalin for my A.D.D.---DING-DING-DING-DING. To top it off it was a generic version and made by another manufacturer too.
I stopped taking it and most of all the problems and worries cleared up!
It was suggested to perhaps start again on it but at a smaller dosage. ALSO, it was better NOT to take it at the same time I was taking my SPIRO since it could mess with both drugs. In other words, I should space the pills apart when I need to take them.
So far so good. I may end up taking an extended version of Ritalin since it's less of a Ka-Pow on my system.
The Doc also informed me to keep a record of things so that I can refer to it if I am feeling I am going back to the craziness of that past 2 weeks.
...just thought I would share this news in hopes that it might help someone else as well.

Before hormones, I was (still am) taking aderall extended release. The first few days taking estrogen, I felt incredibly anxious and crazy. I rode out the storm and things normalized after about a week. Haven't really noticed anything out of the ordinary since then.

Boobs: XR tabs are probably a little easier than the regular ones since it releases the drug little-by-little. I may be going back to that as soon as my spouses Health Insurance kicks in.
