okay okay okay sooo i've been putting off writing this forever cuz well i don't know why. i took my pills though so now i can focus, ish, but they make me pretty talkative, which is pretty neat. so anyhoo. my mom and i were at a convention type thingy and we were at the booth for like teens and sexuality and okay. i looked damn good, if i do say so myself. i was wearing two binders-which i don't really recommend, but i am so ->-bleeped-<-ing self conscious it's insane-so i passed pretty easily. until i talked, at least. heh. but yeah, so we were at this booth and this woman was talking to my mom and then she started talking about like teens and health and whatnot and then. she started talking about how i should be checking myself for testicular cancer and she handed my mom a pamphlet on male self checks and i'm sitting there like an idiot, like 'woo cancer!' and then my mom goes and ruins it all. but. it felt awesome while it lasted, which was a surprisingly long amount of time, especially given the fact that they'd heard me speak.

So sorry for the no capitalization, I don't really use it on Tumblr. But yeah, I just figured I'd share that with ya'll. My mom reacted after a while to the woman by saying, "Uhhh...she's going to be a man...." And the woman looked at me and I blew up on my mom and walked out. Fun times.

lol, well you do sound excited!  What pills are you taking if you don't mind me asking?  I've been taking Concerta and which helps with my focus.

Congrats on the passing!  I don't quite understand what you Mom said?  "She's going to be a man."  If she is on-board with your transition why out you in the first place?  Sounds like she needs to understand a bit better how important passing is to you.

I take forty milligrams of methylin when I wake and another forty when I get home. Supposedly that's a huge dose, but well whatever. I took Concerta and it didn't do anything for me because I need the immediate release stuff.
Well, I don't live with my mom...I'm not even supposed to see her, actually, haha. So she's not used to people treating me like a guy at all and the woman just caught her off guard.

There should be some sort of speech-diaper for people who just can't help but to blabber all over themselves ;)

Ohhhh, okay. Heh. I thought you meant cuz I was all hyper and stuff. I hate it when we're at a store or something and she'll yell out my birth name across the damn aisle and I'm like, "Mom kindly stfu." >.< I swear she does it on purpose sometimes. Just to bug me.

Yeah, my father does that. He's been bragging to OTHER people, when I'm not around, that he's so good at using the right name and pronouns, but he isn't. I don't know what's going on with him :P

Does anyone only use your not chosen name or pronoun when their angry at you? Sorry if that's worded weird, I'm exhausted. But like, my aunt always calls me by my birth name when she's pissed off at me and she uses female pronouns. It's infuriating.

My mother has taken to calling me 'missy' or 'madam' all of the time, instead of by me new (read: had it for four months) name. That being said, she hasn't called me by my old name once. I'm pretty sure she's aware that it would be the final straw for me :P

I had a dream in which she did it and I smashed a glass over her head, so it's just as well she hasn't taken her stubborness that far :P

Also, props on the AWESOME passing! I wish I could pass so well that people thought I had male junk  >:-)

Hehe, thank you. I was really, really happy. I wasn't even packing or anything, just wearing two binders and stuff and I even talked a little bit, said like...four words or something and she still knew I was a boy. It was just. Nice.

could be the same concept as people who slip back into their native tongue when they're mad. like she's used to it and not doing it consciously.
