Title: WebMD & Spiro
Post by: ClaireA on February 10, 2011, 01:24:23 AM
So I was bored and decided to look up spiro on WebMD.

Then I found something strange:

Quote from: WebMDTell your doctor immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: dizziness, increased thirst, change in the amount of urine, mental/mood changes, unusual fatigue/weakness, muscle spasms, menstrual period changes, breast enlargement (gynecomastia) in men, sexual function problems.

Wait, what? Spiro causing increased thirst or a change in the amount of urine is a serious side effect? Isn't that exactly what a diuretic is supposed to do?!

There really isn't much point to this post, but have any of you seen these listed as serious side effects elsewhere?

I haven't had a problem with

increased thirst or a change in the amount of urine

and I've been taking it for over 2.5 years at avg. dose.
