Gaaaaaaahhh
Hello Once again brothers and Sisters
It's Been a While
So I have been busting my butt for quite some time now looking for a surgeon that I can get my CIGNA insurance to cover
I've even called cigna and asked if they could help me find a doctor, but because the surgeons we use aren't specifically named "GRS or SRS Surgeons"
They can't help me out....
I was ready to have dr Brassard be my surgeon and had damn near everything settled to have surgery with him and found out last minute that because he is in canada its impossible for him to be covered.
gaaaaah Im so frustrated
Can anyone help me or give me a direction to go from here as far as finding a surgeon goes?
All I'm looking for is a good trustworthy surgeon in the USA that I could have surgery with this year
Having them in network isn't important because I'm more than likely gonna have to have them as an exceptional case
I live in Michigan if thats Vital

I'm pretty sure that Brassard is licensed to practice in Michigan--try again. Contact their office to confirm this then contact your insurance people.

Please don't give up--I don't want to see you do something out of desperation and end up regretting your decision. Please contact Brassard's office and ask where in the U.S. he is licensed to practice--I'm pretty sure it was in Michigan. Don't ask where he is practicing because they may not understand this. Ask about licensing because there is a difference.

When you find out, please post here so that others will know too. My company switched from Aetna to CIGNA.

Jocelyn, i know one woman that recently had everything covered by Cigna, she went to Marci Bowers, Dr Mcginn who will do my surgery in May does not take insurance however the hospital and Anesthesiologist might be covered, Cigna has coverage policy 0266 that says all plans administered by Cigna companies, my company has Cigna but it is a private policy administrated by Cigna, in our benefits exceptions it excludes any transsexual surgeries, i am waiting to hear from my hr department and have my fingers crossed that all but the surgeons fee may be covered, anything is better than nothing, what they do not pay for will be deducted when i file my IRS forms next year.
