Carolina of Long Beach is a transgender individual who had her deportation stayed by a judge. She was able to get immigration relief because she'd likely be persecuted for her sexual orientation in her native Honduras.
--- I think they mean "she'd likely be persecuted for her GENDER IDENTITY in her native Honduras:" ;)
