Title: Binding and Reflux
Post by: FolkFanatic on February 20, 2011, 07:17:40 PM
I'm a D cup, so i know i'll never get totally flat with a binder. Not aiming for that at this point. But i am aiming for something that compresses decently enough and doesn't allow for much "bounce". Something somewhat comfortable as i would like to start binding at work (i am a dog groomer: lots of moving and lifting!)

I have a tri-top that works great and gets me to a point where i'm comfortable with how i look. The only issue is that i have acid reflux and trouble swallowing on occasion and i've noticed that it gets WORSE when i wear the tri-top for long periods of time (say more than a few hours.) I'm guessing it's because the tri-top ends right at the ribcage area, and compresses there...?

So i'm looking for a full length binder to try out. Any suggestions? I believe i tried the 997 or the 988 from Underworks (can't remember which one, i do not have it anymore and it was a year ago or so that i tried it) and i remember that it compressed nicely but i "bounced" and it was fairly noticeable under clothing (to the point where i had to roll it up double, which worked but defeats the purpose i'm looking for right now).

Any suggestions on a binder? Or what to combine to make a full length binder work that i don't "bounce"?

personally i think a short binder is better for bounce-control, especially one with velcro that enables you to adjust it so it is exactly as tight as you need it in the exact place you need it. long binders not only tend to compress your entire back and ribcage, but boobs also tend to move more freely.
a short binder would also be the better option in your specific case because you certainly don't want to add compression to your stomach area! So both the tri-top and the double front are probably not your best option.

i'd recommend a binder that's short and has a velcro section and has a five-star strength rating. you need a strong binder to keep them from bouncing. http://www.lesloveboat.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=78_80&products_id=88 (http://www.lesloveboat.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=78_80&products_id=88)

when you get a strong binder, you don't need to wear it as tight as you can, because the material doesn't 'give' and thus things will still stay in place even when you decide not to wear it very tight. The first binder I linked is just fine except that the material is not too nice against the nipples (feels rather coarse). I have another binder that I like which is very strong and has velcro, but it's from a lesser known site:
