i think my 11 year old cousin has it. i think many other people have it as well! i guess my aunt talked to him recently about how i'm really female and i'm transitioning, but he doesn't think i could be. even though i pass when i go out. people who never met me take me as female. is it common for 11 year olds to have this bias with gender? thinking that if you were originally identified as a male, you can't be seen as a female in any shape or form. i've even posted pictures on yahoo answers. i posted a question in the glbt section, and asked if i pass. most of the people were just commoners and told me they don't think i can pass. here's the interesting thing, in the beauty and style section. i asked what i could do to be more attractive. i got alot of "you're gorgeous" "you're very pretty." "no you're fine." obviously, those people didn't even know i was born male. gender has a really biased power to it. it's no wonder i worry about my appearance even though there's really nothing wrong.

I mean don't take what he says too seriously,  11 year olds are still very immature. 

Yeah, immature and starting to think for themselves.

If it gets you down, just remeber that, in a year or so, he'll become a really annoying teen who knows everything.

I've noticed that as well  :P If you ask people who are know you were born male they will look more closely and say you don't pass and stuff. But people who aren't expecting it just see you as who you are now, and you pass! ::) There are lots of feminine looking boys at my school and masculine looking girls. But I would not of assumed they were born the opposite of who they are now, its not really the first thing on my mind  8) As for the 11 year old kid, I also think he is probably just really immature :P

Gonna second what someone else has said here, he's 11. He's just learned one lot of stuff about gender, it's going to take him a while to learn to accept the nuances in what he's been taught.
