Title: Men who like transexual women

I wrote this article awhile ago. It is definitely my perspective on men. I deleted the first part because it was a rant against Susan Stryker and Julie Serrano. Try and keep an open mind, this was written for cisgender people.
First of all, let me say that being in a relationship with one of us is complex. We were raised one way, but aspired to be something else. We can't change what we're born as. I am covering this from the HOMOSEXUAL TRANSEXUAL perspective. But really, all the relationships are more or less varying degrees of homosexuality/bisexuality. NONE OF THESE GUYS ARE STRAIGHT. None at all. Sure, someone may resemble a woman superficially...But go deeper and you'll soon see. This goes from ones who started before puberty to late starters. There is no differentation between the two. Nor does if the person has SRS or not, because yeah they'll have a surgically created vagina but still male genetic characteristics(bone, muscle, hand and feet size, etc all subconciously affect relationships and attraction). Also, most guys don't care whats in your pants if you aren't attractive to them. Men crave more than the vagina, they crave the person it's attached to.
There are two types of men: Men who have fetishes and men who have relationships. Then little subgroups within. There are people who do want relationships with transsexual women, but they are part of the second sub group. This also includes straight men who "didn't know". Also, it should note that finding someone attractive regardless of gender doesn't make you gay or straight. People like attractive people and beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
The fetish group is defined by men who attracted transsexual for their parts, the varying degree of androgny, or sexuality.
1) ->-bleeped-<- ->-bleeped-<-s- This is the most common type of guy. Many of the guys are attracted to them for fetishes. Because the girl has a penis, boobs, etc. These guys don't want relationships because they aren't technically gay. They persue them on varying degrees of androgyny...some are into manly ones, other ones femme ones. Again, you have to actually look at the person you are screwing.
2) Cazwells- More or less a gay identifying ->-bleeped-<- ->-bleeped-<-. They'll do transwomen because in their mind, they are boys who resemble women. They tend to have drag queen fetishes that go too far. You wonder if most of them didn't ask to screw their boyfriend in drag after he performs at night.
The relationship group is bi/gay who have problem with a girl's past.
1) The exception to the rule: My b/f falls in this category. He finds very few ladyboys attractive. To quote my friend, "If a man is enamoured enough with a transgirl, he'll make exceptions". My b/f wants nothing to do with gay men or drag queens or their culture. But sometimes two people connect. These guys are rare. Honest to god, you can be a total knockout and a lot are. But the guy has to be secure in himself and his reputation. You won't be considered "straight" afterwards and don't be surprised if your buddies tease you. These guys often have to be the most secure in themselves, because guess what? People notice. Sure some won't care. But people do notice that the girl you're with was born a male.. Thus it helps to be secure and not take crap from people. In addition to this, most of this guy realize they won't have a natural family, marriage would be difficult, and there is still going to be the former gender.
But to the men who do this, they are seen as gold in the community.
2) The bisexual: Bisexuals are attracted to both sexes. To them, man and woman are fair game. They actually do exist and it's uncommon for a lot of men to have bisexual tendencies. These men have more or less dated women, but if a transsexual woman is hot enough and they are attracted to her...they'll go for her. They have no reservations about it. Most of the men who are in long term relationships with us, are bisexuals. They seem to be the consistent in relationships of this nature.
3) Gay men: Believe it or not, men who are gay are into transsexuals. So many tranwomen have told me, "Gay men like chest hair, chiseled features, and muscles". There is so much wrong with that statement, I could pontificate on it on another note.
The current gay scene is imbued in hyper masculinity. Sure, a lot of the men act like queens and Scott Thompson said, "Gay men are so delusional". But as long as they appear to rival straight men in social roles, it will continue. It's long been said that gay men hook up with others who appear like them. Feminine men aren't popular, because much of the community feels they enforce "that stereotype".
But here's the truth. Men are as varied in the gay scene as straight men. Some transwomen reduce the wants of a homosexual man to a simple statement rather than realizing variations of the truth. It helps them feel better when that gay man picks up on them in the bar. Gay men are into several different types of men. There are men who date femmes exclusively, having had an A4A account...I can say that a lot of men are attracted to them.
But let's be honest here... A lot of MtF transsexuals are just gay men. Remove the hormones, plastic surgery, etc and you'll get a femme boy. Really it is very much in the head. Now I am only addressing the stereotype and juxtaposing it with people i know. Every transsexual I know who is into boy began their life out as an awkward, feminine guy. It didn't work, so they went the extra route to correct things.
So it may not be out there. But there are many men in the Castro and other parts of the City I've encountered who are gay and have relationships with transsexual women. To them, transgirls are another form of men just at the feminine extreme. These are homosexuals who love femininity in all it's forms, but a lot of them wouldn't dare touch a geneticl girl. A genetic girl doesn't appeal to them. Maybe the lack of exaggeration or the fact that she's always been a female...doesn't appeal. To a certain degree, they are superficial bisexuals only attracted to women in the abstract.
So that is it. I think I've wrapped up my notes on gender, sexuality, gay vs straight, and how it all connects to the trannsexual community. Again, these are just observations.

Why are you here? To me it seems obvious you have an anti-transsexual agenda.
And how is this? You are a gay man which you admitted earlier. How are you even able to give any transsexual perspective at all here? You aren't transsexual.

A fetish is just a form of sex toy - something to get your motor running. Everyone has some.

I never said I was a gay man. You encountered any opposition and you call me a gay man. That's totally whack!
The homosexual transsexual refers to girls who were gay men who are into straight men now.
You said you were living as a gay man and decided to do extreme body modifications. Perhaps you are just a new type of transsexual I haven't read about yet. You are intentionally being offensive here and your goal seems to be letting transsexual women know they will never be women.

Wouldn't a homosexual transsexual woman be into women? So if you're into men (and not women as well), you're a straight transsexual woman.

If I'm understanding your various posts right, you pretty much went through and started dressing like a woman and going on HRT because of your own fetish?
Then why are you even on here? This is a place for people who are transitioning/having problems with their gender identity and daily issues. This isn't a fetish site. There is no way you're going to be able to convince any of the women on here they are just gay men. That is so rude it's unbelievable. You can do whatever you want to your own body, but don't go trying to shove it on other people. The ladies here on this site are just that, women.

While you make some points I do agree with, I feel that your reasoning may just be a little too shallow.
You can't just give "insight" into TS people from the outside like that.

But this could also apply to intersexed people, or even cis people with hormonal disorders. Remove the hormones and corrective surgery, and it is all in the head.
I am curious as to how you would classify someone with Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome.
QuoteEvery transsexual I know who is into boy began their life out as an awkward, feminine guy. It didn't work, so they went the extra route to correct things.
Being a feminine guy is no doubt awkward, but I find it highly unlikely that is any motivation for someone to take hormones to feminize MORE or to undergo SRS. Your logic is failing. If all MtFs were awkward feminine GUYS, then they would take testosterone to become non-awkward masculine guys. They do not do this.
I'm afraid that by your own logic, MtFs can't possibly be classified as guys.

I think 'agenda pushing rhetoric' is much more apt description here.

My jaw just hangs open at every post you make.
I'm kind of curious of what you think of FtMs now who identify as gay...I suppose you'd say they're actually just straight women, but I know I've never identified as that...
But this is the sort of junk cispeople hear that makes them not take transpeople seriously...Maybe you identify as a gay man or a homosexual transwoman or whatever, but to group everyone in the same box is just ignorant and stereotypical. I know I would never call any of the ladies around here men, because they most definitely are not. The same goes for FtMs in reverse.

Actually, a lot of cispeople don't understand it. The whole concept of "x being trapped in y's body" sounds nuts, you realize that? But biologically, people are what they are. Is it crime to point that out? No.
Mainstream America doesn't understand transpeople, if you look at the comments that were given to Chaz Bono. So if anything, my stuff makes a lot more sense than all that karytope, xxx gene codes, etc stuff. You have to meet people at their level and once you get into "bigenders" and "pansexual" you've lost most people.
It may make more sense, but it doesn't matter how much sense it makes when it's giving out the wrong message.
The fact of the matter is, most transwomen define themselves as WOMEN. Sure, there are subcategories, and no two transpeople are alike. But that's for the TRANS to figure out, not for someone on the internet generalizing.
When a cis-person reads an article like this, saying that transwomen are guys, they get the totally wrong idea. It's simpler to understand, but most of the time it's not the idea a transperson wants cis-people to accept as normal.
I have no problem with your personal identity, but I have a problem with stating that your identity is the same as everyone else. That is never true for anything.

BIOLOGICALLY THEY have XY chromosomes, thus they ARE MEN! Gender wise they are women! Unfortunately no one judges you by your thoughts, but rather your actions. What someone is biologically has a lot to do with mate selection.
They are not MEN biologically, they are MALE. They are WOMEN by gender.
I disagree with you with your idea of mate selection as well. If a transwoman chose to, she can go her whole life without telling her mate that she was born male, and the guy wouldn't know the difference. And large hands, feet, and skeletons, as well as angular faces are not just a male trait. There are plenty of females with the same sort of frame. Look at any supermodel you see and they usual have an angular face. So I don't believe that affects mate selection either, unless a man has a preference for a certain face type.
None of your factors makes a man gay or straight. You cannot fairly say that all men who date transwomen are gay, because that simply is not true.
I'm not taking this as a personal attack, I'm just pointing out some flaws and making a debate. Is that fair?

Hey, don't get into any discussion here. They will call you transphobic and give you thumbs-down for different beliefs :) (btw. I totally agree with you and thats why im watched and -3 aswell *high five*)
I have one question to ladies here, why everyone has to agree with you? You know that beliefs and personal opinions comes from your own experiences? Why you give someone -minus- then? Or you call him/her transphobic? If someone in real life has different opinion with which you disagree.. you're going to kkill him/her or what?
Its the first board I've ever been where you cant have your OWN PERSONAL OPINION. It's just sad.

I do agree that some people are a little trigger happy with the negative reputation button...But the fact of the matter here is that Westside is totally disregarding the fact that people have a different experience from her. If you want people to accept your opinion, you have to accept the opinions of others as well.

Quote from: Westsidebtch69 on February 25, 2011, 10:39:07 PMYou're saying a man wants to date a transsexual woman? Okay, then why aren't a lot of them in long term relationships? You know you do have to introduce her to your family and your buddies. The buddies might say, "Dude, I didn't know you were gay". This is the reality of this. You can throw all the mumbo jumbo you want on it. But the person is going to have male physical characteristics and some people aren't gonna register that person as a woman mentally. The kind that start before puberty are rare and I think they have a chance.
Maybe you haven't looked around the forum enough. There are plenty of people around that are happily married to cisgendered people. There's even a Significant Others section on the board. How can you saw that they aren't in long term relationships? There's blatant evidence that points to the opposite.
And why does the opinion of your friends and family even matter? As long as you love the person, it shouldn't.
I am not denying the obvious scientific fact that I was born female, but that doesn't mean that I am a girl. I am most definitely a guy, despite what science says. I just started out female-bodied, but that doesn't make me any less of a man.

Quote from: Westsidebtch69 on February 25, 2011, 10:39:07 PMI totally agree with your thinking, I am a very logical thinker. I know what I was born with and what I was classified as (M) and I do struggle with the fact I will never be a woman, only a transwoman.
I am glad to be a ladyboy, because I don't believe in lying to myself and to others. I'd rather be upfront and I wish a lot more transsexuals would be. I wasn't born a female, I was born male. I am taking hormones and so forth to kind of correct it. But regardless, they aren't gonna change anything.
There is a definite physical-mental connection that is being ignored here.
That doesn't mean I won't be accepted as a woman at least by people that didn't know me before.
I know for a fact though I will never be accepted as anything but a freak from average ordinary people, if I go around calling myself a LADYBOY or TRANSQUEEN. Its fine if you find these terms acceptable and your freinds and family do, most people I know don't though.
I have no problems with how you view yourself and your opinions of YOURSELF just please don't assume I feel the same way.

You are free to defend in whatever you want but from what I have seen people here do want to discuss issues even if they are controversial. WeStSideButt is showing to have a prejudice that no amount of actual science will ever fix.

Well, I dunno about you, but WestSide is the most obvious troll I've seen in a while. They're not even sharing a personal opinion, they're stating that what they are saying is fact and cannot be changed.

I agree with Rabbit 100%!
To me the same thing happened when I joined TS forums in my country...
I was banned from all of them..
actually that is why I turned to this website,
I was called a male because I did not plan for surgery... and have learned
that a lot of TS people are incapable of seeing the truth about themselves and the world...
This often makes them unpleasent people to be around with...
And actually some of them DID hurt me, because I WAS fragile at the time,
I was just starting my transition...
Westsidebitch defintely is not a troll...
but she does seem to be a threat enough to the way of thinking and living of some so much that
she makes them desire to "burn the witch"
I think that is very self righteous!
She does not dserve that, only because she confronts you with a way of thinking
that is unpleasent for you...
BTW calling her way of thinking male is totally absurd.
If you only knew the thoughts of geneticwoman...
If you asked me, its actually very masculine to ban Westsidebitch from the website just because
she has a different view on life and her transition
She may call herself male but in her daily life she is referred to as a she. And I personally think
it is very feminine to NOT bang you fists on the table and shout out: I AM A WOMAN, PERIOD.
She is trying to be realistic about her situation and analyses her daily life and her surroundings
and instead of getting blame for that, she should be encouraged to do so!

Erm, Westside is quite clearly just saying these things to get a rise out of people, that's the very definition of a troll.

My dog licked some of my eyeshadow the other day. He's just like mommy or should I call him, "she"?
Just read this post in the Transexual and Intersexed in the Animal World thread if you don't think they're just trying to wind people up.
You might very well have a legitimate point about people being challenged by differening views, I don't really know, but WestSide is really not the person to try and make a legitimate point over.

If Westsidebitch has the ability to post in the forum again let us see what if your theory is correct. To me this person had no intentions of becoming educated. It appeared this person had all the education needed at the time.

i have been following the WestsideButt posting, and this person has posting in which she contradicts herself, keeps referring herself as a lady boy, a gay boy, and transsexual, in addition uses foul language, and make some pretty inflammatory statements, rude, obnoxious, insensitive.
For Hispanics and Latins the word "cholo" or "chola" is a major pejorative term, it is a racist term, like the n word or African Americans. I wish WestsideButt would remove it from her profile and stop using it in her post
In my opinion this is a young uneducated deeply trouble person, or just a plin troll get pleasure out of wrecking the community threads.

Pretty much this. Westside (and anybody else) can believe what they want, but they can't just continually shove it into other people's faces and make ridiculous arguments about it. That's just rude and annoying no matter what you believe in. That's why I'm sure they're just a troll.
When is this thread going to be locked anyway?
