Title: Head getting "larger" on testosterone?

Okay, I really cannot think of a better way to word it but I have a rather small head. It is small in circumference and length. I was just wondering whether anyone who has been on T for a while (1 year or more) has had any change in the size of their heads? I've heard mixed answers on youtube saying it cannot happen while others swear it has so any experience or info would be great. Thanks :)

Mark it's hilarious to me that you are the first person to answer because the reason I asked this in the first place was because I was watching your video half an hour or so ago. It looked like your head had gotten a bit bigger (please don't think that's an insult) and it got me to thinking about that question again.

Roxy's head got thinner after going on E.
Don't know if that helps.
Hugs.

Thanks Patty I do tend to notice that a lot of the things that happen to ftms reverse on mtfs when it comes to hormones so it might.

Pretty sure that is because the muscle that MTFs had before hrt starts to diminish. And FTMs once going on T start to build up muscle.

T or E as in HRT does not affect bone size, this is a medical fact.

Kate- You are right as long as the persons bones have fused there won't be growth. The age of fusion can be anywhere from 18-20 from what I researched. Although I happen to fall into that last range I don't figure I will get any bone or skull growth but I'm thinking maybe men have more weight on their head?

FWIW my cap measurement when I was in the Navy was 53cm (teeny tiny!) I just whipped out the measuring tape and clocked my melon at 54.5cm.
I know I have had to make adjustments to ball caps I haven't worn since pre T and I know bone doesn't change - but my face has subtly changed and I expect my head has as well. And before you ask it's not just the length of my hair determining the hat alterations!!

Thanks for answering Jay that's awesome! I just added my head width to my measurements and I'll see what happens.

I was just wondering this the other day... I noticed that it seems like my head is a little too small for my body. I didn't think T would help, since it's the skull that's too small... But let me know of any stories!

I've been blessed / cursed with a large skull.
Which is weird because you wouldn't know to look at me but most hats do not fit me. Baseball caps, fedora, most ski caps, cowboy hats. Male or female it doesn't matter. They just don't fit.
My head better not get bigger or it will really be a problem!
Now figuratively ... that's a different story.

I put on a baseball cap a couple days ago and noticed it fit differently. I think it has more to do with my hair cut than a change in my skull.

While I'm not sure about the head size, I recall a study about FtMs' brains becoming larger (and MtFs brains becoming smaller).
Might that trigger the cranium to grow in proportion?

That is very possible. I'd never heard that before but I just looked it up and you are right.
