Title: More news of Jerica

Today has been quiet like a long, reflective moment after a really moving sermon. All the other pews have emptied and you are there letting the Word heal you and lift you... for the most part...
It seems that she is scheduled to get her bandages changed about every 6 hours. I was there when her bandages were changed at noon and I was able to see Dr. Bower's work one day removed. Things were bruised ad a little blood oozed from the wounds but I was amazed! at, first, how little trauma was there and then how good the work looked! And it looked so natural, so right for her! And I told her what my impressions were. I told her that I could feel a subtle positive change in my thoughts and feelings about having the surgery for myself. I cannot quite put a name to it but the change is there.
So about 2 I left to do some errands. Jerica needs a "doughnut" to sit on, probably, tomorrow, her hand mirror from the hotel and a venti peppermint cocoa from Starbucks. I needed to get some new hearing aid batteries [if she is ever short of patience with me it's when my hearing aids aren't working]. When I got back at about 4, She told me that they'd had to change the bandages again because she'd been really bleeding bad. But she was alright then.
Fifteen minutes ago they called Dr. Bowers up to the room because she was bleeding a lot again. Not as much as earlier, but she'd soaked through her bandages. Dr. Bowers politely ordered me out of the room. Marci is doing some re-stitching again to make sure there isn't so much bleeding. She left a few minutes ago after telling me there shouldn't be so much bleeding. I asked her if the time-table for Jerica's healing would be set back because of this and Dr. Bowers said, "No."
As I should have mentioned in this morning, we still need your good and kind thoughts, peaceful meditations and prayers.

Hi Shannon,
I can assure you that you and Jerica have the love and hugs of the whole community.
Give her our love when she is lucid, and give her a kiss as well
Hugs

Hi Shannon
I have nothing to add to Cindy's and the above comments, the whole community will support her.
I hope the haemorrhage is under control now.

I had a pretty severe bleeding complication after my surgery as well, resulting in needing 5 transfusions and 6 units of blood, and also some re-stitching. :) My surgeon did tell me that it was never life threatening and they could easily put it back in quicker than it came out as there are no major arteries in the area affected by the surgery (only small ones). It did cause some delay in healing for me, but everything eventually worked out fine. We're wishing Jerica all the best, and I'm sure she's in good hands.

Give that girl our love, honey!
God, I'm SOOO proud of her. She started HRT just 2 weeks before I did and NOW she's fully female. AWESOME!
We cannot wait to hear her take on the entire experience whenever she's lucid enough to post. Her REAL life awaits her! EXCITING!
Hugs to All!

Jerica, I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. I'd give you a hug but my arms aren't long enough to reach San Francisco from Phoenix. But here's a virtual hug! ;D Heal well.

Just found this thread, a month later! haha. Thanks everyone =)
That is so great to know. Healing has definitely been very very slow because of the extra bleeding and in turn stitches and in turn swelling, etc.
