Title: HRT and ADHD

Does anyone have any experience with this, or know where to find information? I know we're not the most well-researched population, and I've had some trouble tracking down any info on this.
Specifically, my concern is the spiro diuretic effect combined with my ADHD meds.

Stacy Beaumont has some experience in this. I will point this post out to her.

It shouldn't cause any issues. The adhd meds will help with the lethargy caused by anti androgen mess.

I have A.D.H.D. and take Ritalin for it. No it does not affect anything. Still, you should consult your Doctor. I've been taking the combo for almost 6 months and I have NOT seen a difference or have had any side effects.

I know it took me a while to get past the walnut bladder with my meds. I was just wondering if the spiro would make that worse or bring it back. I don't have a history of kidney problems in my family but I'd rather not spend my last decade on earth on dialysis either :-P
The ADHD meds have really turned things around but they'll have to go for a while if I have to choose. I'd just rather not have to. :-/

I've got the same issue. From what I can tell the biggest concern should be blood pressure just keep an eye on that.

You shouldn't have any problems. I'm not aware of any that exist, anyway. I have ADHD and on dexies. I was on Strattera for a while, before, too (didn't like that med, didn't work well, but for some it does.... but in terms of HRT, no contradictions). I've been on many other meds, too, anti-depressents, mood stablizers, anti-psychotics, etc, etc -- no issues there either. Now I'm only on dexies, which work great, and much better than taking a cocktail of meds for the same result. o_0
