Hi Ladies, My name is Samantha. I am very new but I have a concern that has been eating at me. I started taking hormones when I was 23yrs old. my feminization was really good, was told I passed very well. However at age 29 I got into IV drug using.
I used for a little over a year, couldn't get my meds for that time so I ended up re-masculinizing. I was wondering I have been on my HRT for a little over 4 months and haven't touched drugs. do still smoke will hormones have the same effect as it did last time? or am I going to be stuck androgenous
anyone with a similar predicement???
thank you sweeties
samantha ???

Hi Samanthia.
However you turn out, you will have the same outcome that every girl has, gfemales as well as transgender.
That is, you will get what you get and have to make the best of it.
Think of any beautiful model, for example. Now ask yourself, how much effort does she have to put into that?
Great news on the stopping drugs. You're not alone in that here. Believe me.
But I strongly suggest you look forward to what you will get rather than what you don't.

You should be fine. I'm just over 4 months clean and sober myself. You probably lost a lot of weight bangin' stuff, so if that's the case gaining some weight as you take horrormones will also help. I've been working on gaining weight myself, also going for walks when I can, eating healthy, etc. I've been on pretty much everything out there, so I know what it's like. If you're taking hormones again, you may want to go with pill form (estrace) with progesterone (prometrium) and it will help out -- not sure if you'd want to take hormones via IV 'cause that temptation would be there (I know it would be for me)... if you wanna go for injectable hormones, and can't go on pills, get your doctor to do it for you rather than at home.
Also, be kind to yourself, take a break, and welcome back. ;)

The first step-acknowledging there is a problem-is the biggest initially and you have done that. Remember it's small steps that lead us to cleanliness. I have been clean for many years now & have never regretted quitting.
I still see the old crowd from time to time but don't visit-they still live the same way so I stay away & I am weak so I don't go there.
HRT? who can tell with any degree of certainty. Me, I am doing well with spironolactone and E and feel so much better than before!!! I still struggle but not nearly as often.
