Welcome to Susan's Ally! Coming out can sometimes be easier than we think. At this point, the majority of my family is aware and are all supportive. I have told all of my friends and they too have been very supportive. Just recently, I came out to my management and a few (10 or so) co-workers and have received nothing but support! I understand that I'm one of the fewer lucky ones and it's quite humbling. I can't say that it's going to be the same for you because we are all different and we all have different relationships and different qualities of relationships.
As far as coming out to your mom, I would talk to your mom/dad that transitioned or is transitioning (as you did not specify too many details). She has already been through this coming out process with your mom and she may be able to provide some insight. I can't say it will be easy for your mom, but keep in mind that you are her child and it may be easier than it was for her and your dad/mom. Remember that she loves you no matter what. It may be easier since she's already been through this and may even be able to provide you with more support since she already has some understanding.
Don't be afraid and do it when the time feels right and I'm confident that you'll be pleasantly surprised with the outcome.
I wish you luck in your transition.

Lol thanks all I was actually most scared to come out to my ex because of our kids. But she was very receptive and even offered to help me along the way with makeup and clothing styles and what not. I still love and miss my ex wife like crazy and it feels like this might bring us back together but thats not the reason i'm doing it. As for my mom my real dad has been living full time for oh 5 years now and thats a great idea. Lol on the other hand our GID is on oppisite ends of the spectrum lol. But she is the next person i was gonna talk to about it. Its more exausting being all freaked out about their reactions rather than just telling them. And it helps that my current GF is very supportive and want to be involved as much as possible. So for now im happy and content that I know i have 2 very important ppl in my life who are on board with it.

Hi Ally,, my advise is take it slow, and come-out to people when you are ready.. When I came out I did it too fast, too many people at once, I buckled under the pressure, and went back in :((Crazy huh?) Just go slow at your pace

Lol I am but it all seems to be moving so fast at the same time. Like my ex wife was so supportive that she wants to take me out tomorrow and help me start building my makeup kit, and my GF wen out and bought me a new outfit witch i'm wearing now and love it lol. It's all a huge rush and crazy lol. My ex was even talking about want me to dress and go shopping with her i'm scared but excited all at the same time. Well night for now world lol

thats sounds great that you have support, but go at your pace. Other people (from my experience) can be very intrigued by the whole thing. As you know its not about the dressing or the shopping, although that is the fun part, its more about, the Tuesday morning you wake up, no makeup, in sweats, but your still you. All i am saying is keep your pace for you.. this is only about you
