All of my life, I have identified with everything female and feminine --physical, emotional, fantasies, clothes, erotic, all of it from the perspective of being a woman--except one: babies.
Sure, I enjoy holding them, and little tykes can be so cute--but I've never had the attraction to babies and small children the way gg's do.
And although I'm OK with that, it's also sorta always bothered me, too....like I was soooo close to being complete but yet was missing a peice of my puzzle...
Lately it's really been bothering me....
Anyone else feel like I do, or am I missing something fundamental to the female experience that I just can't reach? Should I be feeling so incomplete, because I'm not attracted to the smell of a dirty diaper? I love every other kind of baby animal, from kittens to moose....so why not so much with human babies?

Sorry to horn in, but I think I can speak to this issue. There are plenty of cis women who are not interested in having kids or even being around them. Also cis men, but I guess that's not so surprising. But a lot of women are still reluctant to voice their feelings lest they be seen as some sort of mutant child-hater. Societal pressure for women to like babies is very strong.
I still wonder sometimes if I'm a freak because I don't want children or like them or find them cute in the least. When I was living as a woman, I struggled with this and was always told that I would change my mind. Sometimes I was told that I would change my mind AFTER I had had my own kid. Uh, folks, this is not a good theory to test.
Now I'm transitioned, and I still feel the same way, and I wonder if there's something missing in my brain. I think some people feel that all humans should like kids. And I think they're wrong.

There was a series of articles in one of the woman's magazines about woman who don't want, and woman who don't like babies. It was a surprisingly large percentage. And many people said they faked liking their friends babies so as not to offend their friend.
Your not odd, you're female :-*

I agree with what everyone said here. I just think that everyone is different.
I'm actually the opposite of you. I LOVE babies. not so much baby animals. I love human babies. I can't stand letting them cry, I would bend over backwards for hours to make them comfortable. I love holding a sleeping baby.
And when I came out to some of my friends, they said, "but... you love babies?" As though that determines if you are male or female ::) My brother also likes babies, and also little kids. But nobody's calling him a girl for it.
Even though I've always loved babies, ever since I was a kid I knew I never wanted to give birth to one.
I think this may be another one of those things that society has deemed "feminine" but isn't really true.

I also don't think liking or not liking babies of any type is a gender thing, but a personal thing.
Personally, I love babies (of any species) and little kids, but I'm certainly a boy.
Sort of off topic, but I have to share that the movie 'Babies' has gotta be the most adorable 1h20m you'll ever spend if you like babies and don't mind a bit of a lack of plot.

I feel the same way you do. Nothing against children, but I have a hard time around little ones. I think it's me being too scared that I might hurt them or do something wrong. So for the time being, I don't have a super strong attraction to babies.
It's stereotyping that all women love babies. I have a few friends that also feel the same way I do. It's not just us being different.

I'm sort of back and forth. Sometime they are adorable and I love them.... then there are those moments when I don't even want to think about them..... (pictures 2yr old throwing a tantrum *shivers*). I personally sperm banked because I figure.... If I ever do decide I want a baby it be best to still have the option for biological children. :D
