UPDATE: Kristina Ross has already been behind bars for more than four months. When she is sentenced on April 21, she faces a maximum penalty of a year in jail and a $1,000 fine for her guilty pleas to two counts of misdemeanor battery.

Ross garnered national attention in November 2010 when she was accused of posing as a plastic surgeon and fondling women in Treasure Valley bars. Her original charges, practicing medicine without a license, could have landed her in state prison for up to 10 years.

I'm surprised she got off so easily (pun intended)

But it's folks like her that contribute to giving the trans community a bad name... Pretending to be a plastic surgeon or rocket scientist or what ever just so you can feel drunk women up is wrong regardless of your gender or where you happen to be at the time

I feel like the charge / consequences have been far out of proportion for what she did.  How many cis gender men or women have ever been been charged and had a bail set at $100,000 and been stuck in solitary for 4 months for telling a lie in a bar and allegedly touching a womans breast?

She did not physically force them even.

Cops and real doctors accused of fondling and sexually abusing woman don't suffer that, let alone drunks in a bar.

Wrong yes, but if she were cis gender I don't think it would  be worth their time.

For the sake of comparison a man charged with raping a 7 year old in 2010 in Idaho had their bond set at $100,000

A church youth leader charged in Idaho in 2010 for allegations of having sex with a 14 and 17 year old, and for inappropriate contact with a 12 and 14 year old had bond set at $25,000

A doctor in Washington accused by a woman and 2 teenagers of inappropriate contact had his bail set at $40,000

A gym teacher accused of multiple counts of sexual contact with students bail set at $25,000

A police officer bail set at $50,000

How many religious leaders charged with sexual child abuse had their bail set so high?

The prosecutor, and the judge that set bail, were out for blood but not because of the crime she committed. They were not treating her equally.  At least now she can only serve another 8 months max  solitary, but hoping she does not have to do that.
