Jen Pagonis was the featured speaker at RU Prouds sponsored intersex lecture, "Exes and Whys: Pseudo Humans" last Thursday. Pagonis is an intersex activist sharing her story and advocating for basic intersex human rights.

Pagonis shared her story of early childhood correction surgeries and discussed the hardships she underwent to feel "normal." Pagonis said one of the important things to take away from her lecture is that surgery is a personal choice. She is not in favor of it and is against ever having to have a planned surgery in her future.
