Hello again everyone ;D i had a question for the older mtf's. The later transitioners- i was wondering if you start taking hormones in your 40's or so, how good will the effects be on the body? where can you expect to get fat deposits? can it affect the voice? etc. Im curious to know as my aunt just started taking hormones and we are hoping they will provide decent results. Thank you for your help ;D

I began my transition at 54. I am currently a 38B. I still have boy hips and behind. But it is more to be comfortable in my own shell. So the shell just need a few alterations, namely SRS.
Voice will take training. There are many things online that can help with the training.

Hi Marta
To tell you the truth, I was in my twenties but an adult allready.
For what I know, it's different by anyone.
It's just how the body will react on the hormone medicine, it's a matter of fact, that's with all medicine.
There is no golden rule for it, some people react very strong on it and others slowly, you can't say it before.
It will take a lot of time to have fully response on hrt, but, remember your childhood, you were also busy for a few years
from girl to woman, isn't it?
The voice need a lot of practice, it's not only the pitch but also the intonance, the words who are using, the body language.
Even if you have allready the right pitch, women will use other words and phrases as a man, women talk more with hands and arms, so you're lucky if you're a Italian, they do it by nature, otherwise it's practice, practice and practice.
The good news is with hrt you're feeling more feminine and the behavore will automaticly more feminine.
And I wanted to say that I'm admireing you by being so supportly to your aunt.
You're a sweet, kind girl
Hugs
Annette
