The murder of a Greeley teen three years ago is now chronicled in a documentary that will debut at a film festival this weekend in Denver.
Loco Lane Filmworks and Just Media will debut "Photos of Angie" Saturday at the 13th XicanIndie Film Festival, 721 Santa Fe Drive in Denver. The festival starts at 7 p.m.
This documentary, by Denver filmmakers Alan and David Dominguez, chronicles the life and murder of Angie Zapata, 18, in the summer of 2008. The film moves between Angie's life and self-discovery told through family and friends, to the trial of her killer, Allen Andrade, and how prosecutors used national hate crime legislation to prosecute him in 2009.

Not exactly, they used Colorado law to do that, otherwise it would have been a federal trial.
