Just curious if anyone else despises the word Gender->-bleeped-<- as much as I do. Thats all.

I find it unnecessarily harsh, myself.

It should be replaced with a nicer sounding term at the very least.

I tend to swear a lot so I'm not offended by it but it indicates (to me) a royally messed up identity but if I wanted to out-weird my friends I would use it :p a little showoff-ish It also leaves the questions of Am I f*ucking up my gender ID or Am I ->-bleeped-<-ed because of my gender ID basically the term is a little too dramatic for me to use seriously

It never really bothered me. The term was meant to describe a person who enjoys "f-ing with" the concept of gender. Growing out a bushy mustache while wearing frilly dresses, stuff like that. I suppose it has it's place, but not really with serious transgendered people. Admittedly I do enjoy gender->-bleeped-<-ing, but I do not connect that with my ->-bleeped-<-.

It is an "in your face" term and as such the people that are doing it and enjoying it are probably well described.
So no, it doesn't bother me at all.

Don't have a problem with it. Don't have a problem with any words, really. Depends how they're used. If someone called me a gender->-bleeped-<-, meaning it to be insulting, I wouldn't like it. If someone was just using it, then I don't mind. The intent behind the word is more important than the word itself, imho.

I guess I should clarify.
It's the term itself I'm not a big fan of. The idea of BLEEPing with gender norms doesn't bother me.

I feel the same way - when it comes to being offended by something or not.
But I'm not offended by Gender->-bleeped-<- at all- I just think its immature and obnoxious lol. I think using it in any capacity is a bad choice if you want to be taken seriously by anyone.
