Title: Just need to put this out there.

I grew up as a a tomboy, I was always playing with boys and have always been more comfortable around them. I have always been aware of the LBGTQ community, but never looked into the transgender side of things before I stumbled upon a FtM video blog on youtube. I watched every one of his videos and it seemed to click with me. I have always been a "masculine" girl, but I have always been interested in guys, which is the part that is confusing me the most. I feel as if I could identify as a male but i've been in a longterm relationship with a man. I would really like to start gender therapy, as I always kind of felt out of place. I just haven't felt I was able to share this with anyone, so I needed to.

Kvall has it right entirely. Therapy is a great idea and maybe looking around here and getting to read some of the stories might be of some help to you. See ya around the forum.

Thank you guys, it's just been weighing on my mind because I'm in a different state for school and don't feel comfortable telling anyone.

I had the same confusion for years. I knew trans people could be gay, but it added confusion for me still. It wasn't until last August I came to terms with being both transgendered and gay XP. Great timing too, it was a couple weeks before my two year anniversary with my boyfriend xD. My poor boyfriend, such a shock. He's good now :'P.

Welcome to the forum! :D
I'm gay too, it's nothing to fret about. Gender and sexuality are totally different things, and you don't have to be one to be the other. If you're a guy and you like guys, then you're just a gay guy who was born a little different to others. :P

Heya mayhem, just popping in to add that I know how you're feeling all too well, I went through what a lot of transguys go through (thinking I was a lesbian) very briefly, but ended up in a long relationship with a girl (7 years currently). Over the years though, it's become obvious I'm a lot more attracted to guys, and-like you-it weirded me the hell out.

Losts of transmen are attracted to other men.
I suggest you do a little reading, research and thinking. Soul searching, if you will. Therapy is always a good place to start. Call up therapists and ask them if they are LGBT friendly and if they are ask if you can do a meet and greet (Till you find one you like) and go from there. Good luck.
