Title: A fantastic afternoon
Post by: Cindy on April 17, 2011, 02:26:28 AM
I had my eyebrows shaped about a month ago and they needed redoing. I couldn't get into the same place because it is very popular and only open during the week. Anyhow I was in a large shopping centre, and saw a place called Vani-T a little store right in the middle of the mall, and open to be seen by all. They had a poster saying brow studio now open. I'm in boy mode BTW, well about as boy as I can get . There was a young very attractive woman arranging stuff on a shelf so I go up to her and say, can you do my eyebrows. She looked startled and then said sure.  How do you want them? As feminine as possible. Oh. So I go through the TG story, hormones etc. She was captivated, asked really nice questions. Very open and kind and respectfull. Asked if I had eyelash extensions. I said no. and she replied that I looked as if I had. She asked my name. I told her Cindy, She was Louisa.  We talked about all sorts. People were walking past looking at us, some smirked.

She kept asking if I wanted them thinner etc, and she did say I had poor eyebrow growth which made shaping difficult.

She asked what else I was having done. She then said that she was usually at the main shop in Glenelg and gave me a brochure.  She said she would do my waxing, manicure, pedicure anything.  She then said that they also did individual makeup classes and didn't see any reason why I shouldn't have one as well. She also said that they do wedding and formal make overs and if I was going to anything special they would give me a make over as well.

By this time we were firm friends
We finished and she just said Cindy it has been a delight meeting you. You have made my day. Thank you.

So after all of this I wander off to an escalator, and some hoon looks at me and sneers 'look at her cute shoes', I was wearing my pink sneakers . I was feeling so good I just looked at him and said 'First time I seen sh*t that breathes' His mates almost cried with laughter and there was nothing he could do but look stupid.

So I ended up buying a new necklace  as well.

What a great time, what a really nice woman. And guess what; she has a new customer for her Glenelg shop.

Keep taking heart ladies.

Just do it.

Hugs
Cindy

Hi Cindy.
Sounds like an all round great day.  Any day you get the better of a BDOT (Brain Dead Oxygen Thief) is a good one.  >:-)
I went out in girl mode this arvo, but only bought a coffee and the paper. Mind you I looked at lots of other things too.!

Karen.

That's the way it goes sometimes Cindy.
Most of the time we meet people who are saying nasty words and than you meet someone open minded.
It's like stepping into a hot tub, nice and warm.
I really love your expression: first time I've seen s**t that breathes, I must keep this one in mind, that's the way to handle with punks.
Cindy I've read yor story with a big smile on my face, thanks for sharing it.

hugs and kisses
Annette

OMG, I'll have to remember THAT one, LOL!!

I don't think I'd ever DARE use it, but what a hoot!  You GO, girl!  My roomie Simone, when she encounters someone like that, just smiles and gives a little wave, maybe blows a kiss.  I've never had to try something like that, not sure I could pull it off.  But I guess sooner or later it's bound to happen.  I'll just have to keep my wits about me.  Thanks for a wonderful story.
