Hi everyone,
I'm new to this site, so let's introduce myself. I am a 25 year old cis girl, and since a year I'm in a relationship with a trans girl. I've known her for three years now, when I first met her she was already half a year into her transition so I have always known her as a woman. Three months after we got together she had her SRS.
Also, I am from a European country, I finished my university study a year ago and am now looking for a job. I like music, reading, going on walks, travelling and sunbathing. I am quite interested in feminism and also in LGBT activism and politics.
I really like reading about other people's experiences with all aspects related to being with a trans partner, both the emotional and the more practical ones. I especially like to hear about other young lesbian, bisexual or queer women who got together with their girlfriend after or during the transition, as this is a different situation than being there before the whole changing starts. Not that I am not interested in people in other situations, but for some reason it is important to me to find recognition by hearing about other 'women like me'.
I really wish my girlfriend had introduced myself to this website a few months ago, or during the time that she had her SRS, as I was really in need of some recognition by that time. Now I have already found some recognition in other places, and figured out a lot of the things I was confused about, or learned to welcome the confusion. But still I am happy to have found this place!
I will post some other questions about the specific topics I would like to discuss :)
Best wishes
Artemisia
