Most of you know me quite well and the problems I have had. My wife in severely disabled and lives in a Nursing Home. I have a carer, I'll call her S, and she is paid to see my wife for a few hours on tuesdays and be a companion. Which is difficult. She then goes in on Wednesdays unpaid, just because she is that sort of gorgeous human being, she often calls in on a Fridays as well, unpaid, she explains it as I happen to be passing at lunch time so she will calll in. She is a trained nurse who has looked after the disabled all her life. Her husband, P, is a great guy as well. I've never met him but he has always been very polite and sensitive on the phone. They are by no means wealthy. She spends her life caring for people and he installs security doors to people at home. A nicer more loving couple I have never met. I phoned S today to explain I was taking my wife for an eye test tomorrow, so she needn't visit. She was OK with that and then said she'll go in on Weds as her paid time. We then had a little talk about my wife's condition etc. She, as always was, sympathetic, supportive and practical. Towards the end of the phone call, S said Cindy, I have to tell you something, I got worried, but then she said, we won $1.28mill on the lotto draw on the weekend. I was so happy, she startd to say P is getting excited but I'm calming him down, the idiot, what do we need a sports car for:laugh:. It's good I don't have to see your wife tomorrow so I can keep P on his feet. I'll be in on Weds however.
I thought there might be a goddess
So happy for them
Cindy
I just said that I could not think of nicer people to win something like this.

That's awesome Cindy
I am happy for their good fortune, but more I am happy to know that they have such a sense of humanity... She sounds like a sweet dear... Please give her some hugs for me

That's a totally cool story, and it's wonderful that these people that give so much get something in return.

Hi Cindy, that is great news and it sounded like it happened to the right people, please tell S that it was meant to be for all she has done for those in need. Aloha.
