Emery C. Walters' third novel in a series dealing with recovery from abuse. Each successive novel contains more humor along with the occasional pain of recovery.
This is. among other things, a gay love story. It also includes transsexuals, seemingly clueless parents who rapidly come to understand life, a policeman who becomes involved, and the strangest pirate/figment of the imagination you have ever met (or is he?).

He is working on the 4th novel, and I have a chance to write some more of my first transgender novel, For the Least of My Children.
I may be biased, but I think my hubby is a good writer.
