Title: Starting therapy in a month, found one in my town
Post by: ~RoadToTrista~ on May 14, 2011, 01:20:41 PM
I told my dad I wanted therapy, I didn't tell him why. That was a while ago, he's brought it up again. He said I'll start after school gets out.

I'm terrified. I've never come out to anyone, I guess that'll be changing soon. I'm not even sure if this woman can help me. I was reading about one in this town who is more of an all around social therapist than a gender therapist, but it vaguely says that she can help transsexual clients. I guess I could give my dad her number when the time comes.

What do you guys think? Should I just go look for one in Las Vegas? I'd rather not continuously make the 1 hour drive to go there.

Ugh, I hate this.

Maybe give the local counselor a try. If that doesn't work, there are several gender counselors in Las Vegas.

Once you talk with a counselor, you will feel a tremendous relief.
